Brothers sisters come with me
(into the light) x2
Brothers sisters can't you see
(into the light) x2
Don't lose sight of what you saw
You know you can better than you were before

Brothers sisters can't you see
That you are stronger than you think
You are stronger than you think x2
You are strong
Raise those arms that once were broken
and put down the green

Did you think your time was gone
(into the light) x2
Did you think your hard work rode
(into the light) x2
Don't lose sight of what you saw
You know you can better than you were before

Brothers sisters can't you see
That you are stronger than you feel
You are stronger than you feel x2
You are strong
Raise those arms that once were broken
and put down the green

(I'm taking over) x13

But you are stronger than you think
You are stronger than you think x2
You are strong
Raise those arms that once were broken
and put down the green

("Rise" in background over some choruses)

I did my best. I'm not quite sure what the last word of the chorus is (green, greed, grief, etc). If there are any other corrections let me know and I'll edit it in a semi-timely manner. Thanks.

I love this song. I think it's my favourite out of the stuff he's released SO FAR. and I think the last word of the chorus sounds like "green" to me. Good job with the lyrics.

    Song Meaning

the boxer is an album in which kele treats the issue of fightig on one's own...

in rise the person kele talks to ought to realize that in spite of the severe grief s/he feels there is so much more potential in him/her. s/he tried to stand on ones own, s/he saw a few glimpses of what was to come, what was his/her own path, but s/he also felt loss, grief...

then the im taking over part.. its really something to dance to...

to let out everything on the dance floor... so its more or less a way to make people dance and be happier...

Yeah agree with scaredOne, i think Kele wrote this based on a true story of a friend(s) that were trying to quit a drug habit?

Techno Ted may be a person who caused Chris incredible emotional pain & trepidation as well as moments of peace & happiness but now is removed and awaiting his fate. Darling may be a different person who is also free of him and can live her life free of Ted's tyranny. "In between all the laughing, and daydreams ... lies: a desert of truth" Lies are like a desert or the omission of Truth: Where there were Lies then Truth was absent. The song, "Techno Ted", may be a cathartic celebration of the downfall of this person.

Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”
