Sin-Eaters Lyrics
wall street jumps in the hudson
with gold in their bathing suits
then we send in the miracle ferries
that's all we do
wanna give a withering speech to the fucked (x3)
we have beautiful views of the weather
coming for us
we'll dive in with the sin-eaters
while they suck it all up
wanna give a withering speech to the fucked (x3)
save my young white neck, it ain't my fault (x3)
with gold in their bathing suits
then we send in the miracle ferries
that's all we do
coming for us
we'll dive in with the sin-eaters
while they suck it all up

how we are all to blame for the credit crunch. the bankers fuck up and we just bail them out (miracle ferries) for them to do it again.
@senorhughes I think it's saying the opposite, really. The song is eloquently but angrily pointing out that it was the bankers and power elite that knowingly brought about the housing crisis and then pretended they were completely ignorant of it.

And they got away with it. No one was ever prosecuted despite the thousands upon thousands that lost their homes and even more who lost their jobs.

The last part has quiete, almost unintelligible lyrics, but from what I can put together he is saying, "set your houses to the flames/we can live inside the banks."

Great song, makes me sad, in the UK we are turning on the poor because we are no longer getting rich. Its not socialism, its fairness. Work hard and get rich, that's fine...but how much money do you need? There needs to be a middle ground.
"Wanna give a withering speech to the fucked?"
Perfect line for election season -.-
Wall Street psychopaths recklessly crash our economy, and we (the “miracle ferries”) bail them out again and again against our own best interests. It’s become our chief purpose (“That’s all we do”). We have eloquent complaints about policy and make articulate political forecasts, but contributing to the discourse requires us to participate in and support the very economic system that keeps the vicious cycle intact. Final section is a self-deprecating acknowledgement that he selfishly hopes he’ll be spared from anything too catastrophic (and somehow protected) given his race and social status.
