You gave me life
In return I'll torch pretend
You can watch it burn

In the ashes of your town
In the ashes of your town
We will build it back down

You gave me life
We would build it back down

In the ashes of your town
In the ashes of your town
We would build it back down

There are two major themes in the VIDEOS for these songs, which is childbirth and religion, namely Jesus Christ in particular. This leads me to think that it tells the story of Mary giving birth to Jesus Christ. At the same time, however, I suspect that the videos are also about the life of Jesus, including his crucifixion and resurrection.

In the video for U-1, we see a mysterious man wearing only underwear and with pieces of tape on his face making a sort of beard and moustache walking through the forest, only to come upon a fortress made of boxes. This could be a connection to the "Fortress of your heart" in the song O. However, the pregnancy imagery is strong here, if one considers the fortress of cardboard boxes to be like the womb, and our underwear'd hero to be the baby. Let's not forget, also, that there is the lyric "you gave me life," which seems to definitely be a line spoken from an unborn child to his mother.

There is also the state of Jonna Lee in this video, too. She is not herself, to say the least -- Instead of Jonna Lee being in this video, we are instead presented with a cardboard-and-tape doll that resembles her, mouthing the lyrics. It makes sense, however, for Jonna to be depicted as a cardboard doll here, however, because cardboard is what the baby sees as the womb he is in. And since the womb is his mother, it makes sense for his mother to be cardboard.

Also, let's not ignore the fashion in which the "baby's" beard and moustache looks on his face -- he looks like Jesus! But more on that later.

Then there are the lyrics: Unfortunately there's not much for me to say on these lyrics, simply because I don't fully understand them. There is some sort of structure referenced in the song that is burnt and built and built back down, and this could be a parallel to the box-fortress in the forest of the video. Unfortunately, I don't really know what else to say. U-1, from the looks of it, is not very substantial in the way of what iamamiwhoami is trying to say with these videos/songs.

The Night We Met
Lord Huron
This is a hauntingly beautiful song about introspection, specifically about looking back at a relationship that started bad and ended so poorly, that the narrator wants to go back to the very beginning and tell himself to not even travel down that road. I believe that the relationship started poorly because of the lines: "Take me back to the night we met:When the night was full of terrors: And your eyes were filled with tears: When you had not touched me yet" So, the first night was not a great start, but the narrator pursued the relationship and eventually both overcame the rough start to fall in love with each other: "I had all and then most of you" Like many relationships that turn sour, it was not a quick decline, but a gradual one where the narrator and their partner fall out of love and gradually grow apart "Some and now none of you" Losing someone who was once everything in your world, who you could confide in, tell your secrets to, share all the most intimate parts of your life, to being strangers with that person is probably one of the most painful experiences a person can go through. So Painful, the narrator wants to go back in time and tell himself to not even pursue the relationship. This was the perfect song for "13 Reasons Why"

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Cajun Girl
Little Feat
Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

Ed Sheeran tells a story of unsuccessfully trying to feel “Amazing.” This track is about the being weighed down by emotional stress despite valiant attempts to find some positivity in the situation. This track was written by Ed Sheeran from the perspective of his friend.
