Bleed Lyrics
I feel like I'm drowning in ice water
My lips have turned a shade of blue
I'm frozen with this fear
That you may disappear
Before I've given you the truth
I'd bleed my heart out on this paper for you
So you can see what I can say
I'm dying here (I'm dying here)
'Cause I can't say what I want to
I'd bleed my heart out just for you
I've always dreamed about this moment
And now it's here and I've turned to stone
I stand here petrified
As I look in your eyes
My head is ready to explode
I'd bleed my heart out on this paper for you
So you can see what I can say
I'm dying here
'Cause I can't say what I want to
I'd bleed my heart out just for you
And it's all here in
Black and white and red
For all the times
Those words were never said
I'd bleed my heart out on this paper for you
So you can see what I can say
I'm dying here
'Cause I can't say what I want to
I'd bleed my heart out just for you
I'd bleed my heart out just for you
My lips have turned a shade of blue
I'm frozen with this fear
That you may disappear
Before I've given you the truth
So you can see what I can say
I'm dying here (I'm dying here)
'Cause I can't say what I want to
I'd bleed my heart out just for you
And now it's here and I've turned to stone
I stand here petrified
As I look in your eyes
My head is ready to explode
So you can see what I can say
I'm dying here
'Cause I can't say what I want to
I'd bleed my heart out just for you
Black and white and red
For all the times
Those words were never said
So you can see what I can say
I'm dying here
'Cause I can't say what I want to
I'd bleed my heart out just for you

I think this song is about somebody who's coming to the realization that they passed up the opportunity to tell somebody how much they loved them and now it's too late. In the song it's almost as if he's writing the person a letter because it's too late to verbally tell them his feelings. The lyrics "I'm frozen with this fear that you may disappear before I've given you the truth", to me, say that he understands his chances to tell somebody how he felt are gone, but he's giving it one more shot by writing her a letter before she's long gone.
Additionally, the lyrics:
"And it's all here in Black and white and red For all the times Those words were never said"
Sound like he's putting so much thought and emotion into the paper that he's writing out everything he has always wanted to say, and was too afraid to say. The "black and white" represent his writing on the paper, and "red" could be a metaphor for signing the paper in his blood to show how he truly feels for the person.
In short, I think this song is just about taking a chance at letting someone know how much you care about them when all hope seems lost; even if you can't physically see them, all chances of making something between the two people aren't lost.. give it a shot, because you never know.
Totally agree.

This is a pretty good song. I like it. It's on the radio a little and I listen to it whenever it comes on. Personally, I believe this person feels a certain way about another person, however they can't tell them in person; only in written words. They're afraid they're going to leave before he/she has a chance to tell them how they really feel. That's what I believe it is.
When he plays those couple guitar chords throughout the song, and especially at the end, it reminds me of another song. Just the guitar part though. It's very similar to another song. Does anyone know what it may be from?
those guitar chords remind me of the beginning of "One Song Glory", from the musical Rent... I don't think you're talking about this song, 'cause it's not really famous, but, who knows ;)

This is a really deep song and to me I think it's talking about someone who's in the army..and their "special someone" or whatever is scared that they will never see them again... "I'm frozen with this fear that you may disappear..before I've given you the truth" and maybe this person is writing letters to them...."I'd bleed my heart out on this paper for you So you can see what I can't say." Just an idea in my head....it can mean anything really. Everyone has their own opinion. :) It's a great song though..one of my favorites right now.
this is a beautifull song. it keeps me thinking.
i have a few ideas.. i think he broke up with this girl and shes moving or whatever. he feels that he cant tell her he still loves her because in the end it wont matter.
i think another sinario may be that hes talking about and ex or a friend that hes inlove with but is in a relationship with someone else (who he also loves) so hes really confused. he loves her but knows better then to act upon it. maby he wants her to know how he feels but doesnt want anyone else.
i think it is about someone who likes a friend but his friend has a boyfriend and he doesnt know how to tell her that he likes her.

He's too scared that the feelings aren't reciprocated
I love this song. i will interpret it my way when i listen to it thoroughly and i have time.
