@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday".
I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

In the first book of the Saga of Darren Shan series, "A Living Nightmare", Darren has to fake his death in order to become a half human, half vampire because the police and his family would come after him when they find out what he's really up to. He had never known the loving of a girl before this happened, and he never said if there was any girl in town who vowed to love him forever. He lived each day to the fullest before his "death" and when everyone was at his "funeral", it was like he knew what everyone said about him at the "funeral". Now, everyone in town believes he's dead except for Steve Leonard, who plans to kill him when he grows up because he had betrayed him for becoming a dhamphir in order to save his life when Darren had almost killed him by having Madam Octa bite him. Steve plotted revenge against Larten Crepsley for not blooding him because Larten thought he was evil and because he didn't want to get killed by the Vampire Generals because he had blooded a child. This could have been on the soundtrack to the movie based on the books if the song had been written then. It would have been used in those scenes up until Darren's "death" from being a human.
