Ungrateful Little Father Lyrics

Ungrateful little motherfuck, boredom tuck
Beat you up with bedrooms of ice
I see you've got another one almost done
Bet you think that you wished twice
I see you standing over there, underwear
The milk is going to bring you a fight
Ungrateful little motherfuck, built you up
A brand new breakthrough device

Heard about your almost-kin touching skin
And leaving pictures out of the book
I thought that all the should've beens might've hid
Beneath all that they took
Never said I was the man who held the tan
And breathed while we violently shook
Ungrateful little motherfuck, boredom tuck
Up all that we could

But buildings have another tease, try to please
Leaving all the press pulled apart
Oh, I feel you like an evil wind, sucka twin
Dying for the "never" of stop
What, you going to seal this with all that's missed?
Oh, I think you're pulling the heart
Ungrateful little motherfuck, horror tucked
Up what you never have thought
If I see you with a cracked up kid who never wins
Dying for the little you've got
If I see you with a cracked up kid, double kick
Down to the floor of the rot

This is the stand-out song on the new album to me. Also the only one that already has the lyrics up, so I'm going to comment. I think this song is basically about despising his father? Ungrateful little father (father=motherfuck). At the end of the song, it also seems like if he sees his father again he would "kick him when he's already down."--> "if I see you with a cracked up kid, double kick, down to the floor of the rot."

I might be in love with this song.

A few corrections, sorry it's formated terribly though.

God this song is fantastic. Favorite from FRR.

One correction, I'm pretty sure

"I see you standing over there, underwear, the milk is gonna bring you a fight"

is actually

"I see you standing over there, UNAWARE, the milk is gonna bring you a fight"

And I agree that it's leaving -pictures- outta the book, not bitches. D:

I love the old-style piano in this song. It's definitely my new favorite song from the album. And like someone else said, it seems like he's talking about despising his father- a LOT.

I'm not sure if this is about a specific person out there or not, it seems to be. Seems to be about a frustrated single dad who doesn't want his kid. The last verse of the song is advice for the guy. I will say this, Freud said all religion stems from a desire to kill your father. Put THAT in your pipe.

And history has shown that Freud was a tad bit of a wack job :) I see NO reference to any father in the song. Where is everyone getting a song about a father and son???? Facinating...

Goodness these comments are completely off. The narrator is a family friend having an affair with a father who doesn't appreciate his life. The song tells the story across the three verses, ungrateful little father thinking he got two wishes, family friend being confided in, correction by the way, it says here "never said I was the man who held the 'dad' and breathed while we violently shook", and the father ending the affair. It's very straightforward really... I can hardly tell how it's been so misinterpreted... Other than that it's not completely obvious what "boredom tuck" is referring to... At the end of the song the narrator is commenting on what he'll do if the ungrateful little father replaces him with a cracked up kid - double kick, possibly meaning both literally and figuratively kick him to rock bottom.

Actual comment - I absolutely love this song, the storytelling in the lyricism, the perfect tone in a perfectly ambiguous song about moral decay, I feel you like an evil wind, sucka twin, dying for the "never" of "stop" - just amazing. I think I'll be addicted to it until I'm good enough at guitar to play it well enough, matter of fact. Fact that I'm 4 years late to this is pretty depressing though >_<
