You're like a messiah, kid
Little kingdoms in your chest

I told you, we'd make it on for another
I told you, we'd make it on for all night (put on all our best)

This is how they will live on
We'd looked better if we win

I told you, we'd make it on for another (oh, I've been getting calls now out here)
I told you, we'd make it on for another (on their mouths and chest)

Help this love before you leave
Demonstrations lack caress

I want you to take you, call on for life (thank you for creating souls)
The longer we make this, got no way there (children sleep with dicks)

The Yukon keeps me up all night
Complication sees your best

Told you, I want it here longer for you (I've been getting calls now out here)
I waited, I waited, it's late night, she's waiting at home (on their mouths and chest)

We've got love and hate, it's the only way
We've got love and hate, it's the only way

I think, it's almost crime
I think, it's almost crime
I think, it's almost crime
I think, it's almost time

I have no what this song is about, as the lyrics are very strange and the meaning schizophrenic and unclear, but it kind of reminds me of The Velvet Underground's "The Murder Mystery."

Kevin Drew's voice starts really melodic, orderly and triumphant at the beginning of the song and then kind of fizzles out at the end into chaotic, robotic nonsense-land, and sounds kind of like the guys in the background of the Velvet Underground song. Feist remains who she is.

    Neat sounding tune, crazy lyrics.

Ok, I retract my last statement, because they posted the lyrics to this song on their myspace page. The correct lyrics are:

You're like a messiah, pal Little kingdoms in your chest

I told you we'd make it, on for another I told you we'd make it, on for all night (Put on all our best)

This is how they will live on We'd looked better if we win

I told you we'd make it on for another (Oh I've been getting calls now out here) I told you we'd make it on for another (On their mouths and chest)

Help this love before you leave Demonstrations lack caress

I want you to take you, call on for life (Thank you for creating souls...) The longer we make this, got no way there (Children sleep with dicks)

Your calls keep me up all night Complication sees your best

Told you, I want it here longer for you (I've been getting calls now out here) I waited, I waited, it's late night, she's waiting at home (On their mouths and chest)

We've got love and hate it's the only way We've got love and hate it's the only way

I think it's almost crimes I think it's almost crimes I think it's almost crimes I think it's almost time

    My Interpretation

I see this song as the relationship between a schizophrenic guy and the girl who loves him. She doesn't quite understand him, but she wants to stay together. Later, she gets scared of him but wants to be with him, he's saying crazy things and running aaway from her, but she can't let him go.

    My Interpretation

First off...love this song. One of BSS's best and one of my faves. I've had the fortune of seeing them live a couple of times.

Secondly - many incorrect lyrics above but I'm not going to point them out directly.

It's about an affair between a married or at least committed man (I'll say married to keep it simple) and a single woman who wants to keep it an affair - she's all for him having a wife ("I told you you'd make it, I'm all for another") and a man who wants to leave his wife and marry her ("we'd look better if we wed.")

The first lyrics are inaudible and no one has it correct. I can't figure it out either. But "little kingdoms in your chest" is eluding to her using this affair to escape something else. In other words, shaping life the way she wants it to be, not the way it is. It's also putting the relationship in distress.

"I've been getting calls now about this" and "on their mouths and chest". People are figuring it out and talking about the affair. It's getting back to him. He wants to do what he thinks is right and leave his wife. He feels, maybe paranoia is setting in, that someone is going to tell his wife soon.

"Help this love before you leave". He's practically begging her to marry him. Her "demonstrations lack caress". She's falling out of lust with him. She just wants to "call on for life". Not actually be committed but get together when she needs him...and she was willing to keep it the way for life.

"Thank you for creating souls". Now he is starting to lose his mind. He's saying anything to keep her - like You create souls, you're better than me, better than men - which leads to "Children sleep with dicks". Again, he's praising her and all women, a last attempt to try to be with her - men just have to stick their dick in a woman, near the womb, where an unborn child sleeps - while women "create" life.

"The you con keeps me up all night". He's losing sleep, having a breakdown, and feels he's been conned by her. The you con. Brilliant lyrics.

"Complication sees your best". She thrives on things being complicated. At least from his viewpoint. It's more complicated and distressing on him because he's deceiving his wife. She really doesn't feel bad or feel like it's complicated. He's totally losing it.

"Told you, I want it here longer, for you". From the beginning he knew she preferred that it stay this way and at first he agreed. She's basically saying You knew what you were getting into and you were OK with it at the start.

"I waited, I waited, it's late night, she's waiting at home". Not sure why she waited. Maybe he was out pondering things and got to her place late. Nevertheless, she's telling him to go home to his wife who is waiting for him at home.

"We've got love and hate, it's the only way". They've probably been going through this for a while and she's saying breaking it off is the only way - not love and hate is the only way to keep it together.

"I think it's almost crimes". Obviously what they're doing is wrong but they seem to have different opinions about why it's "almost crime's".

"I think it's almost time". Basically, this relationship is near or at its end.

Thanks for reading. Just my humble opinion.

The bitterness of a love/hate relationship. I absolutely love the ending where they yell "CRRRRRRRRRIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIMMMMMMMMMMMEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSS"

tsucol, I'd have to disagree with you there. I believe a good portion of their first album Feel Good Lost, and basically the entirety of You Forgot It In People is spectacular. The meandering, but engrossing Cranley's Gonna Make It shows their abilities to leave a listener wanting more without lyrics (which are a huge plus to me with this band). The crashing guitars of KC Accidental and Cause=Time illustrates their rocking capabilities. You just have to listen a little closer, and give the record a few extra spins than your usual sunday-afternoon listen. But, I respectfully acknowledge your opinion.

yeah tsucol, i bought the record and liked it but didn't think too much about it. then about a week ago i popped it in and kc accidental sparked something in me. it somehow managed to strike a chord with what i'm going through and feeling now. if yo like 'Almost Crimes' you're bound to like the whole record. it'll happen, when you least expect it.

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Cajun Girl
Little Feat
Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

I Can't Go To Sleep
Wu-Tang Clan
This song is written as the perspective of the boys in the street, as a whole, and what path they are going to choose as they get older and grow into men. (This is why the music video takes place in an orphanage.) The seen, and unseen collective suffering is imbedded in the boys’ mind, consciously or subconsciously, and is haunting them. Which path will the boys choose? Issac Hayes is the voice of reason, maybe God, the angel on his shoulder, or the voice of his forefathers from beyond the grave who can see the big picture and are pleading with the boys not to continue the violence and pattern of killing their brothers, but to rise above. The most beautiful song and has so many levels. Racism towards African Americans in America would not exist if everyone sat down and listened to this song and understood the history behind the words. The power, fear, pleading in RZA and Ghostface voices are genuine and powerful. Issac Hayes’ strong voice makes the perfect strong father figure, who is possibly from beyond the grave.
