Last night I killed you in my dream
I was afraid, it felt so real
Everybody is addicted
Underneath the skin
Voracious but an image of the
World I'm living in
Rage (rage)
My rage (my rage)
Is taking over
Pain (pain)
Your pain (your pain)
Will soon be over
Rage (rage)
My rage (my rage)
Is taking over
Pain (pain)
Your pain (your pain)
Last night I killed you in my dream
Today I'm gonna make it real
Everyone's a sinner, baby
And so are you
We don't really need a reason
For the things we do
Rage (rage)
My rage (my rage)
Is taking over
Pain (pain)
Your pain (your pain)
Will soon be over
Rage (rage)
My rage (my rage)
Is taking over
Pain (pain)
Your pain (your pain)
My rage
Your pain
I was afraid, it felt so real
Underneath the skin
Voracious but an image of the
World I'm living in
My rage (my rage)
Is taking over
Your pain (your pain)
Will soon be over
My rage (my rage)
Is taking over
Your pain (your pain)
Today I'm gonna make it real
And so are you
We don't really need a reason
For the things we do
My rage (my rage)
Is taking over
Your pain (your pain)
Will soon be over
My rage (my rage)
Is taking over
Your pain (your pain)
Your pain
I think it's about abused people. In order to feel empowered when confronted with pain, they have to feel anger.. and that can get out of hand. The other day a girl rejected me, i was nice about it. but as the fear and negativity crept in, i proceeded to throw a chair across the bar... i think rage happens because it's our body saying "get over that obstacle" and a heavily tortured person prefers it to fear "danger, run." or sadness "re-attach to object". one might say "I'm not afraid of you and i'm not going to go after that object again!" by overcoming both emotions with... "Rage (is taking over)" Rage is given control by the abused.. like selling our soul, our free will, for a way out of our feelings and past.
