I absolutley love this song although i really dont know what it means so can someone tell me?
I think the general message is that if you stop for a minute (no shit) and think about your life, you might realise things about yourself that can be hard to come to terms with, like realisations about yourself...
I can't believe there aren't more comments on this song, I love it. It's definitely about stopping and having introspective moments, thinking about yourself.
The lines "Without you i'm a child/ liner stranded in an ice floe" completely make this song, because with them, you realize that when he "stops for a minute", what he thinks about )and it's kind of a frightening thought, sometimes, to need someone that much) is that he absolutely needs this other person, to help him find direction.
At least, that's how I see it, and that's how I want to see it. He needs this person (K'Naan's part makes it pretty clear this is a lover he's talking about, in my opinion, they give him direction and help him out with everything, he feels lost without them. I think it's a sweet thought.
I don't know what the individual lines all mean, but this is the general idea.

I like this verse. It think it's basically saying people who act negatively to other people wonder why they themselves get treated that way. And they end up blaming it things other than themselves. Hence, "just the horoscope's to blame". It's basically saying they think that they aren't the ones causing their own pain.

I think it's about pausing and realizing how much you need God or Jesus or a higher power to help you out because without that help you wouldn't be where you were.
