I was walking, was living
My melody was acapella
There's a beat I was missing
No tune or a scale I could play
No sound in the distance
No orchestra playing together
Like a boat out to sea
The silence was too deafening
So come and revive me
I can't feel my heartbeat
It's just me surviving alone
Before you my whole life was acapella
Now a symphony's the only song to sing
Before you my whole life was acapella
Now a symphony's the only song to sing
Everything was the same
One color was just like the others
An assembly routine
My memories were all black and white
Till I stopped over-thinking
Decided to draw back the curtains
And I cleared all the cobwebs
And began to let in the light
So come and revive me
I can't feel my heartbeat
Just me surviving alone
Before you my whole life was acapella
Now a symphony's the only song to sing
Before you my whole life was acapella
Now a symphony's the only song to sing
You're the drum in my heartbeat
Bass and guitar lead
Stuck on the notes you play
My heart that you play on
Red like a crayon
I can't walk away
You're the drum in my heartbeat
Bass and guitar lead
Stuck on the notes you play
My heart that you play on
Red like a crayon
I can't walk away
You're the drum in my heartbeat
Bass and guitar lead
Stuck on the notes you play
My heart that you play on
Red like a crayon
I can't walk away

It's about her baby boy!
Yup, it's about her baby! He's in the video too.
nah she got a stunt baby in from malawi
A cappella is an Italian music term meaning: using only the voice (no instruments). I guess what she means is that after the baby is born music/instruments (and as a metaphor: a lot of new experiences) were added to her life.
Personally, I think the song is about something/someone that has made her life more colourful, enjoyable and complete. The word 'acapella' makes me think of something that is alone, singular or not complete. Whatever it is, it has brought much more to her life and she now feels more complete and less alone.
I thought this song was about her baby, because it seems so fitting to what people often tell about what happens when you get children. I found this song very very touching.
But my mum told me that she said in an interview that this song describes how she feels when she is in love with someone.
I also think that you can intepret this song as religious, or someone finally meeting their biological mother/father/sibling. It could be about anyone.
