Matchbooks under cigarettes
Lighting your silhouette
Just accept I'll say anything
This place is a mess you think
Buy you another drink
Another drink anything you want
'Bout time that you lose your friends
Back to my place
I don't want to talk
I want everything
Are you driving me home?
Are you driving me home?

Street lights on your coma eyes
I'm in no shape to drive
Besides you're fine
I'll say anything
Get us out of the parking lot
Swerving behind the cops
Eyes on the road
I got everything you want
Like secrets to haunt
I got memories to block
I got the gun
To blow everything
Are you driving me home?
Are you driving me home?

I will be the razor baby
I will be the pill
I am the ambulance that never comes
The antidote you spill
And in the accident
Ill be the failure in your brakes
I am the truth you couldn't take
I am the mistake
Worst you ever made

Your doubts follow you through the door
What do you do it for?
You need more and more
To feel anything
Each night and its someone else
It's the last time you can tell yourself
You can tell yourself
Anything you want
Coat off and you climb the stairs
Intentions are very clear
I don't want to talk
I want everything
Are you driving me home?
Are you driving me home?

I will be the razor baby
I will be the pill
I am the ambulance that never comes
The antidote you spill
And in the accident
I'll be the failure in your brakes
I am the truth you couldnt take
I am the mistake
Worst you ever made

I will be the razor baby
I will be the pill
I am the ambulance that never comes
The antidote you spill
And in the accident
I'll be the failure in your brakes
I am the truth you couldn't take
I am the mistake

I will be the razor baby
I will be the pill
I am the ambulance that never comes
The antidote you spill
And in the accident
Ill be the failure in your brakes
I am the truth you couldnt take
I am the mistake
Worst you ever made

When i first got the Cd for five whole bucks lofl at the release party in Chi at The Metro and saw them play i knew it was something unique and well assembled like the gears of an engine. Everyone in the band is more talented than Am Taxi allows they recorded the cd the way a jam band might/ LIVE MORE OR LESS. I listened to the cd once through and although i fell instantly in love with a few songs The Mistake blew my mind. It was something i instantly could relate to and at the same time love the angest. They were signed by a major label, Virgin Records, but not well promoted. No tv spots, big movie songs or tours with major big name punk bands. I grew up with the drummer Chris Smith who in HS played in a band called Happy Little

Step
Ministry
Both as a standalone and as part of the DSOTS album, you can take this lyric as read. As a matter of public record, Jourgensen's drug intake was legendary even in the 1980s. By the late 90s, in his own words, he was grappling with massive addiction issues and had lost almost everything: friends, spouse, money and had nearly died more than once. "Dark Side of the Spoon" is a both funny & sad title for an album made by a musical genius who was losing the plot; and this song is a message to his fans & friends saying he knows it. It's painful to listen to so I'm glad the "Keith Richards of industrial metals" wised up and cleaned up. Well done sir.

Fast Car
Tracy Chapman
"Fast car" is kind of a continuation of Bruce Springsteen's "Born to Run." It has all the clawing your way to a better life, but in this case the protagonist never makes it with her love; in fact she is dragged back down by him. There is still an amazing amount of hope and will in the lyrics; and the lyrics themselve rank and easy five. If only music was stronger it would be one of those great radio songs that you hear once a week 20 years after it was released. The imagery is almost tear-jerking ("City lights lay out before us", "Speeds so fast felt like I was drunk"), and the idea of starting from nothing and just driving and working and denigrating yourself for a chance at being just above poverty, then losing in the end is just painful and inspiring at the same time.

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

This is a sequel to 2001's "Reckless Abandon", and features the band looking back on their clumsy youth fondly.
