I don't know what it means but whatever it is, it's incredibly sad. The first verse is so beautifully written and sung.
I think this speaks about a girl who kills herself due sadness. The first verse explains how she does it. The second verse explains how she fell into sadness but nobody noticed it. The chorus explains how after many years everything finally stack up making it unbeareable. The last verse for me is just a thought from the singer, how life has meaning if you have a plan or goal but if you don't it just becomes maningless. A sad song.
