Here Tomorrow Gone Today Lyrics

You got what you wanted
The world on a string
Found your Madonna
And lost everything
We all had your back
And watched you run away
Always here tomorrow and gone today
Always here tomorrow and gone today

You're all talk and nothing to say
We don't want, don't want what you're giving away
Know how to move and you know how to shake
We don't want, don't want what you're giving away

Walking disaster soaking up space
Just a matter of time before you show your second face
A maniacal master of getting your way
Always here tomorrow and gone today

You're all talk and nothing to say
We don't want, don't want what you're giving away
Know how to move and you know how to shake
We don't want, don't want what you're giving away

Got style but you got no game
We don't want, don't want what you're giving away
Always looking for somebody to play
We don't want, don't want what you're giving away

You're all talk and nothing to say
We don't want, don't want what you're giving away
Know how to move and you know how to shake
We don't want, don't want what you're giving away

Got style but you got no game
We don't want, don't want what you're giving away
Always looking for somebody to play
We don't want, don't want what you're giving away

I really like this song. I think that the title 'Here tomorrow gone today' referrs to how people are always living on tomorrow, planning, waiting, fussing about tomorrow, but not focusing on today, so in a way they are not here today at all. I especially like the part

Walking disaster soaking up space Just a matter of time before you show your second face A maniacal master of getting your way Always here tomorrow and gone today

sorta like a dance-rock fused in with alt.rock and pop rock

I personally think that this song is referring to those people who see a problem, but just talk about what they're going to do instead of actually doing something about it!
