Wrecking Ball Lyrics
I'm alone, wandering in your space
Waiting for a sign of life
Looking so out of place
Then you whisper to me, it doesn't matter what you say
I feel the weight against the wind
The demolition of me caving in
And I'm always swinging on this wrecking ball
While you're building up and breaking down my wall
You push and pull, you give and take
And through it all I gravitate to you
I'm a fool, a mechanical tool for you
Cause you've got all the switches and levers to blow my cool
And when you know I'm broken
That's when you come shining through
You set me up to knock me down
And leave my shattered pieces on the ground
And I'm always swinging on this wrecking ball
While you're building up and breaking down my wall
You push and pull, you give and take
And through it all I gravitate to you
You set me up to knock me down
And leave my shattered pieces on the ground
And I'm always swinging on this wrecking ball
While you're building up and breaking down my wall
You push and pull, you give and take
And through it all I gravitate to you
Waiting for a sign of life
Looking so out of place
Then you whisper to me, it doesn't matter what you say
I feel the weight against the wind
The demolition of me caving in
While you're building up and breaking down my wall
You push and pull, you give and take
And through it all I gravitate to you
Cause you've got all the switches and levers to blow my cool
And when you know I'm broken
That's when you come shining through
You set me up to knock me down
And leave my shattered pieces on the ground
While you're building up and breaking down my wall
You push and pull, you give and take
And through it all I gravitate to you
And leave my shattered pieces on the ground
And I'm always swinging on this wrecking ball
While you're building up and breaking down my wall
You push and pull, you give and take
And through it all I gravitate to you

This song is about a relationship that's shaky, up and down and like a rollercoaster. You want the other person, and you know they have the power to make or break you; you don't want the person to hurt you, but they always do. They're the person you always turn to when things are bad. The relationships always up and down, but you always gravitate to the person nonetheless.
Amazing song, nice change with Bryce singing lead.
Im alone, wandering in your space, I think this song has to do sin, were alone wandering in the wrong spaces being somewhere where we shouldnt be, doing things we shouldn't, Then its like a whisper and we feel the weight and cave in, temptation catches us off guard, and since we are alone there is no one to support us, catch us.
We keep gravitating toward sin it builds us up with a temporary high and then suddenly it breaks and we fall further, sometimes we get a false sense of calm and then its taken away. Quite often all of the pushing and pulling giving and taking experienced in our sin makes us gravitate deeper into it, and it is like swinging on a wrecking ball, we destroy all of our own walls, relationships, friendships.
