the Children song Lyrics
don't take this, don't take this world away from me
don't take this world away from me
don't take this, don't take this world away from me
don't take this, don't take this world away
the future decides the roles we play
the struggles to sell the past away
the after thought is staring back on bad days
because our daughters and sons will live to pay
through every mistake that we have made
through every conviction we've betrayed
so let the children sing
don't take this, don't take this world away from me
don't take this world away from me
so while we contempt to waste away
the answer that only time could chase
the question we'll ask ourselves from here, to eternity
will it be worth the price to pay
to living the lives of our remains
how do you think we will explain
when the children sing
don't take this, don't take this world away from me
don't take this world away from me
can he find a way
to face today
with the eye on the things to come
cause mistakes we've made
bring on decay
and our chance to make a difference will be gone
so this is the price to pay (this is the price to pay)
for living in our remains (living in our remains)
just listen as the children sing
don't take this, don't take this world away (away)
don't take this world away from me
don't take this world away from me
don't take this world away from me
don't take this, don't take this world away from me
don't take this, don't take this world away
the struggles to sell the past away
the after thought is staring back on bad days
because our daughters and sons will live to pay
through every mistake that we have made
through every conviction we've betrayed
so let the children sing
don't take this world away from me
the answer that only time could chase
the question we'll ask ourselves from here, to eternity
will it be worth the price to pay
to living the lives of our remains
how do you think we will explain
when the children sing
don't take this world away from me
to face today
with the eye on the things to come
cause mistakes we've made
bring on decay
and our chance to make a difference will be gone
for living in our remains (living in our remains)
just listen as the children sing
don't take this world away from me
don't take this world away from me

this songs pretty easy to understand, but its about how we are fucking up this world for the next generations to come, stated with "because our daughters and sons will live to paythrough every mistake that we have madethrough every conviction we've betrayed". "how do you think we will explain when the children sing" is saying what are we gonna tell our children when they ask us what happened to this world, because it was becuase of us. alot of sotys songs are full of meaning, and this is certainly one of them <3 oh and btw its "the children sing" not children song :)
Guitarcheese could not have said it any better! Great meaning! You made a few mistakes.
The future decides the roles we play and struggles to sell the past away the afterthought is staring back on better days cause our daughters and sons will live to pay for every mistake that we have made for every conviction we've betrayed let the children sing
don't take this don't take this world away from me
so are we condemned to waste away on answers that only time portrays a question we'll ask ourselves from here to eternity and will it be worth the price they'll pay for living their lives in our remains so how do you think we will explain when the children sing
don't take this don't take this world away from me
can we find a way to face today with an eye on the things to come cause mistakes we've made bring our decay and out chance to make a difference will be gone so this the price they'll pay for living in our remains so listen as the children sing.
