I saw those lyrics on the official unofficial Andrew Bird Fansite, but they don't seem to make much sense: Dear Dirty on the man-struments and I live in a cain using the blood-toothed and I live in a cain only for for two years (x2)

I never saw him talking about this song, so this is a free interpretation.
There's a caveman, and he is sending those letters to Dirty, because he liked her profile in an online dating site and would like to meet her. He describes himself as a strong yet sensitive (he draws, he's an artist) man who has a finacial stability, because he owns his own cave. Then he talks about his hobbies, work and routine, wich is going out and finding things to kill animals (like the bull).
Andrew Bird explained this song at his concert last night.
Basically someone he knew found a piece of paper in the street, and this is what was written on it. Then he joked that he wasn't sure if it was some sort of third-grade writing assignment where they had to write about a caveman's life in letter format, or if it was a legitimate letter to someone. ...Or something like that. I don't remember the story exactly but that was the gist of it.
So it's not really supposed to make sense... even AB doesn't understand exactly what it means.
