Winter Passing

he is writting about a break up or how he got "detached' from someone close to him, most likely his ex. In the new album he also writes/sings about "jenny" in " Cut me up jenny", could be a person or he is hiding the person he is singing about with a created persona. personally i think the new song brought back a sort of unique "tbs" style, the duet singing. although not as good as when adam and john used to sing together, fazzi is finally catching up with the style. like in the ending: "Well Don't Say You Love Me (I'm Never Coming Back) Well Don't Say You Love Me (I'm Never Coming Back, Oh)" in the song the character's depression is getting to him he sings about being stuck in the middle betwwen "return to sender" and "get up and go" two different songs, that basically mean the girl doesnt want him around. he doesnt want her knowing that he is sad about this disatachament so he pretends he is ok by trying anything just to fill in what she once filled in. "i'm alive, I'm a liar, Living a lie" In the end he states one of the first lyrics to the song re'sating that he is giving up, he tried drugs to money but nothing else matters in the end but "jenny"

They broke their engagement in late '07 or early '08...so it could be about her.

In Winter Passing, he starts it out, "Well Jenny, she says.." etc. Later in the song he sings, "Well I Considered Nearly Every Thing Prescription Pills To Diamond Rings, Just Nothing Seems To Stick "

Diamond rings. That's what makes me think it's about Chauntelle.

I think its about jenny committing suicide. Beginning of the song talks about her not wanting anyone around when she does it and "even by her own devices" could mean her own knife or whatever. Shes tried taking anti depressants and treating herself to stuff like diamonds but it didnt work shes still depressed. and " i wouldnt want you to be the one to have to clean that up so im sticking around" is saying the only reason she hasnt done it was because of her boyfriend or whoever.. and shes living a lie because shes depressed but probably acting fine.and ""the Yeah, Would You Remember Me? 'Cause I'm Stuck In The Middle Between "Return to Sender" and "Get Up And Go""" is her asking if he would remember her if she did die, and shes stuck between killing herself and just walking away.

idk thats just me..kinda seems like thats why the song is called "winter's PASSING"

I think this song is about someone in love with a depressed person. He tries hard to save her from her depression with everything from "prescription pills to diamond rings" but "nothing seems to stick".

Probably because of her, he begins to sink into depression himself, but he tries to hide it so she doesn't have to "clean that up". He's trying to remind her that he's still around, still "alive", but he knows that's a lie.

They know that the relationship is bound to fail, and Jenny wonders how he will remember her - as someone always depressed - or if he will try to erase every memory of her.

In the end, he probably leaves her because he can't take trying to save her and failing anymore. Maybe he does it to save himself. He's racked with guilt, but he knows he has to leave or die, so he doesn't want to hear her pleading with him to stay, or telling him that she loves him. He leaves, never to come back, and reminds her that he already tried everything he could.

That's just my opinion, but this really is my favourite song ever.
