Her Silent Language Lyrics
Why do I see her,
To never ending nights.
Why do I see her,
Wearing nothing but the dark.
Have you come to warn me,
Of what I cannot see.
You want to tell me something,
But you do not have the words.
I know where you live,
I can see through your darkness and
When you sleep I hear heart that beats you.
Have you come to warn me,
Of what I cannot see.
You want to tell me something,
But you do not have the words.
I fought in to the distance,
Where life just does not connect.
Time play out it's part,
On the strings that bind us.
Encounters in silence,
Words allude.
The fading light,
Wish I could fathom,
What is too hard to bare.
Her head hangs low,
In the silence of the room.
Her head hangs low,
She takes a bite out of her heart.
Have you come here to warn me,
Of what I cannot see.
You want to tell me something,
But you do not have the words.
To never ending nights.
Why do I see her,
Wearing nothing but the dark.
Of what I cannot see.
You want to tell me something,
But you do not have the words.
I can see through your darkness and
When you sleep I hear heart that beats you.
Of what I cannot see.
You want to tell me something,
But you do not have the words.
Where life just does not connect.
Time play out it's part,
On the strings that bind us.
Words allude.
The fading light,
Wish I could fathom,
What is too hard to bare.
In the silence of the room.
Her head hangs low,
She takes a bite out of her heart.
Of what I cannot see.
You want to tell me something,
But you do not have the words.

Mikael Stanne:
"This one is about missed opportunities. You haven't communicated enough, you haven't known how to say something to someone you care about. Eventually you just realize that it's too late..."

So we have this one. First thoughts in my mind was this is about a ghost (woman) who appeared in someones life.
This line especially
"Have you come to warn me, Of what I cannot see. You want to tell me something, But you do not have the words. "
tells me that someone has something to say, but she can't use "normal" methods to that.
These DT lyrics are quite hard to get into them, so this is only guesswork. My first thoght anyway..
actually i thought of the darkness itself "her". also as a part of yourself
Well, this song always reminded me of a girl I'm currently in a ... "relationship" or more an "unsure state" with. She's generally more on the darker side with her thoughts and we both have our problems building up trust. Now we almost stopped contact forever, just because we didn't talk about our feelings enough.
Thanks to the interview excerpt that ChesterB posted, I know now, that I was very right, thinking that this song fits to our situation ;)
