For Those Who Wait Lyrics
This is for those who wait
Another day, another waiting game
A little different but it's still the same
I am here, but where's the one I'm longing for?
I'm having trouble feeling all alone
Will my heart ever find a home?
I want to hope but sometimes I just don't know
I know I'm not the only one
So we sing a lullaby to the lonely hearts tonight
Let it set your heart on fire, let it set you free
When you're fighting to believe
In a love that you can't see
Just know there is a purpose
For those who wait
I want to open up my eyes
I know that all I need is time
I'm growing stronger every single day
God, I'm going to lean into You now
Letting go of all my fear and doubt
I can't do this on my own so I'll give You control
I know I’m not the only one
The pressure makes us stronger
The struggle makes us hunger
The hard lessons make the difference
The pressure makes us stronger
The struggle makes us hunger
The hard lessons make the difference
And the difference makes it worth it
A little different but it's still the same
I am here, but where's the one I'm longing for?
I'm having trouble feeling all alone
Will my heart ever find a home?
I want to hope but sometimes I just don't know
I know I'm not the only one

Just know there is a purpose

I think the song means for those who are going through hard times and they need help from someone, waiting for someone to help them, waiting on God to help them and once He did, everything seems to make a lot of sense.
The pressure makes us stronger The struggle makes us hunger The hard lessons make the difference
That part of the song has to be my favorite because if something bad happens to you there is always a purpose to it and that purpose could be that our faith needs to be strengthened.
i think its about waiting for love to come to you and leaning on God when you get lonely waiting for him/her to show up. i also think that it has a little to do with waiting to have sex maybe?
The pressure makes us stronger The struggle makes us hunger The hard lessons make the difference
thats the vibe i get from this verse. thats just what i think though :)
That is what this song means to me. I am 19 and still a virgin, people make fun of me and I have been tested, but this song keeps me going to wait for my wife.

This part is about the pressure of being single/virgin. In this day, it is hard to find people fighting for the same goal of having a wife and staying pure for her.

At times, it is very hard and being in college does not help. Many times I just have to take a walk at night and talk to God about how I feel and how hard it is. But I want to wait for my wife and stay strong, because in the end, it will be more beautiful and fulfilling than anything else.
This is my second favorite song on the new album. I'm seeing a theme in the newer songs by Fireflight. I believe that this song could have several different meanings.
For me, it is about waiting for God. It's waiting for the promises He gives us, and waiting for the appearance of seeing Him. "When you're fighting to believe in a love that you can't see" means so much to me. While we can't see God, and it's frustrating and disheartening at times... especially when non-believers are trying to break down your beliefs. Despite all of that, there IS a purpose for those who wait on God.
Another interpretation could be waiting on the "love of your life" to show up in your life. Waiting, as in, saving yourself for marriage... I could definitely see that message in it.
But like I said, I'm leaning more towards the message of doubting and the fear that the One you are so desperately in love with isn't there. Which isn't true at all. He is there and He loves us.
God bless you all. :)
My thoughts exactly. I really like the new album; all of the music is awesome! This is probably my favorite song, maybe second to Desperate or What I've Overcome.

@YouveGotMeDesperate I was wanting to explain this one, but it looks like we both have the same Idea so I don't think it's necessary now :P

The meaning for this song for me is the people who are gonna be saved. Who are waiting to hear the Gospel because they don't know yet. The reason why christians are still on this earth. To spread the message of Jesus.
to me this song means that for those who are patient and enduring, there is something waiting for them in return.
Such as, in the music video, there is a young woman who loves playing the violin. She has an abusive father (to which words do not describe how unjust that is) but she endures and waits, in return she is given the opportunity to play for composers. Something that she loves, or something she is talented at.
same for christians, we wait for something entirely better than this life.
This song means is to be patient with Jesus Christ and let him answer your prayers on there pwn timing. Because that is for those who wait.
To me this song is talking about how we must struggle or at least have dedication. I believe you must have endurance in whatever it is you are doing to succeed, whether it is getting to heaven, accomplishing a goal, or (something this song really expresses for me) being abstinent until marriage. Even to non-Christians this song carries important lessons on dedication, persistence, and patience.
I am not a Christian, but this song is one that I turn to when I feel that everything is worse than ever. Sometimes we just feel alone, different, strange and all we want is to feel part of something else. The song is made from the perspective of someone going through those feelings but maintaining the faith that everything will improve. The most magical thing about listening to this lyrics is that I think: I can keep fighting, win or lose, I can keep fighting and I will keep doing it. It's about keeping track of who we are, or our goals, or our passion
