This song is absolutely perfect for me right now. It's about when you come to that point in your walk with Jesus... and the doubts start creeping in. You're beaten down spiritually & you just wanna throw your hands up and say forget it. But then, you keep getting down on your knees and praying and seeking God's face. This song is saying to not give up & keep believing. It's brilliant. |

This song speaks to me so much. To me, this song is about the beginning of recovery from a rough experience in life. Depression, anxiety, grief, etc... It's the feeling of deeply longing to be close to God and begging to hear His voice. This song's message is the light at the end of the tunnel. Whisper to me, whisper to me. How beautiful. To me, this song is about perservering in the toughest times. "I'm so tired that I can't stand" -- I know that we've all had moments like this. To be so fed up, to be so broken and exhausted from fighting off whatever is causing the suffering... And then to remember that God gave us a promise that He loves us, and while we're on earth we'll face trials and tribulations BUT HE HAS OVERCOME THE WORLD. Read John 16:33. I live by this verse. This is my second favorite song on the new album. I'm seeing a theme in the newer songs by Fireflight. I believe that this song could have several different meanings. For me, it is about waiting for God. It's waiting for the promises He gives us, and waiting for the appearance of seeing Him. "When you're fighting to believe in a love that you can't see" means so much to me. While we can't see God, and it's frustrating and disheartening at times... especially when non-believers are trying to break down your beliefs. Despite all of that, there IS a purpose for those who wait on God. Another interpretation could be waiting on the "love of your life" to show up in your life. Waiting, as in, saving yourself for marriage... I could definitely see that message in it. But like I said, I'm leaning more towards the message of doubting and the fear that the One you are so desperately in love with isn't there. Which isn't true at all. He is there and He loves us. This song is so perfect for me. <--See my username? Ha. Well... it's about doubting and questioning your faith. To be so in love with God, and the scary feeling of doubting or questioning. Sometimes it's so hard for us to feel God, and all we want is to just feel Him and know that He's real and here for us. It's the feeling of being completely desperate for God. To feel that every part of your being depends on His existence and love. God bless you all. |

I've always taken this song as a first love kind of song... I think of a man and woman together, but I heard it on my Christian rock station on Pandora. I know that the members of Lifehouse are Christians, but I don't think of this song as worship at all. With that being said, I love this song, and Jesus. :) |
