Heavy Hangs The Albatross Lyrics
I've made up my mind and I will be leaving.
Leaving this cruel, dark world for the soulless to share.
But first...
Women will shriek and watch their husbands bleed.
Child will cry and watch their mothers die.
Because tonight...
Tonight we all go to hell!!!
Why?
I have to let go of what happened to my love.
I am taking out on everyone else all the problems I've brought on myself.
When I made your heart melt.
My belle, we soon will meet again.
There's nothing left for me to lose but confusion.
I'm finished trying to tell myself this will go away.
There's no one left to talk me down.
My feet are slipping...
One day I hope my name won't bring back memories.
Of the day that I left her.
Goodbye, so long.
My heart belongs to the one I am chasing after.
For better, or even for worse, remember me forever...
Now the only question left is how to take you all down with me.
The coroner will have his hands full tonight.
That is if he is not among the dead.
Dead will choke the streets with such vulgarity that grown men will weep.
And then you will find the end is drawing night.
The dizziness stuns me, would someone please distract me?
Can I really get through this?
Can I really betray myself?
There's sweat on my hands and a knife at my throat.
And as the blade bites my skin Annabel appears...
Leaving this cruel, dark world for the soulless to share.
But first...
Child will cry and watch their mothers die.
Because tonight...
Tonight we all go to hell!!!

""Finding it nearly impossible to come to grips with the emergence and confession of the Thespian, the Artist gives up on his fleeting fantasy that Annabel could still be alive. Without his vengeance, his anger, his insanity and without the chance of Annabel coming back from the dead, he attempts to decipher a way to join her in death. With thoughts of suicide on his mind, the Artist contemplates storming the town with a rage unmatched by anyone. He must draw out the Thespian to die heroically as he avenges the death of his lover. Wandering the town as the feeling of defeat weakens his every step, the Artist falls to his knees in an abandoned alley. Mere seconds before his plan comes to fruition, she appears." -Alesana

Think about the title of this song... "Heavy Hangs the Albatross"... first of all, it's an allusion to carrying a burden like in the poem by Samuel Coleridge "Rime of the Ancient Mariner" The burden the narrator is carrying is the murder of Annabel, HE MURDERED HER!!!!!!!! The Albatross is figuratively chained around his neck which is a metaphor for carrying a burden on your soul! Hmmm.... murder
im pretty sure its about how hes gonna be killing himself. and at the end when he finaly does it he sees annnabel. pretty awesome song.
Okay...so he's planning on killing himself, but he wants to kill all these men and women as well, taking them all to hell. Then he finally starts the act of killing himself, he sees Annabel...
He met the thespian and he said he's the one who killed her, So he now is in such anguish that he couldnt be there to save her, and now he wants to Join her in death, but he also wants to have some fun on his way out, and he didnt kill anyone else, he only killed those 7 men in the Tavern. Then when he goes to the alley and puts the knife to his throat, Annabel appears infront of him, he gets shocked and passes out into a dream, which the entire dream he had is depicted in the song 'The Lover'.
