The Murderer Lyrics
It is about time?
Oh yes it is, it really is!
Let's get this party stared!
My hands are shaking...
Just take a drink, stead your nerves.
Let's get this party started!
Are you ready to run?
I've been waiting patiently for this...
Are you ready to run?
I've been waiting patiently for this...
Are you ready to run?
I've been waiting patiently for this...
Are you ready to die?
Cause lately it seems I'm going insane!
Please don't get up!
Oh no, you're fine right there!
Just don't mind me as I take you all in!
So drink 'em up, oh yes just slam 'em down!
Have one on me as I lock you all in!
My sweet little sheep your wolf has come...
You should know I'm dangerous.
My thirst for blood turns me on...
How sweet...
Is this what we pictured the night that we said, "you're the one"?
I'm going crazy without you.
It's hard to believe but I'm having fun.
Annabel, look what you've started!
The knife slides down the tip of my tongue.
I'm finding pleasure in watching you writhe.
I lean in just to lick the sweat off your face.
I taste the reverence dripping down my throat.
There is definitely something wrong!
Will they scream?
Will they cry?
Will they beg as they die or have to accept that this is the end?
Are you ready to die?
Are you ready to die?!
I'm so glad that all of you came!
Looking in I see a lonely man etching tallies into the bar.
Looking on I see a desperate man repeating something on the floor.
Oh how blood turns me on....
So sweet...
Oh yes it is, it really is!
Let's get this party stared!

"The Artist finally makes it into town and, at least for the time being, sheds the haunting voice of Annabel. He wanders past a tavern to the sounds of laughter and drunken piano playing and becomes uncontrollably enraged. If he is not allowed to be happy, then no one shall be. The Artist enters the tavern and bolts the door shut behind him, unbeknownst to the patrons inside. His thoughts are racing, his adrenaline is pumping, and he takes a drink to steady his nerves. He glances up from his glass only to find a blood-covered, screaming Annabel in the reflection of the mirror behind the bar. He finishes his drink, stands up, approaches the poor soul closest to him and utters five macabre words: 'Are you ready to die?'" -Alesana
this is one of my favorite songs on their new cd! i just love how he sings "im finding pleasure in watching you writhe. i lean in just to lick the sweat off your face" he should sing like that more often as for the meaning, no idea. but its a compleatly awesome song!
This song is amazing. I think this song is about him killing the people in the bar. I think its possible that he believes one or more people in the bar killed Annabel? "Annabel look what you started". He asks, are they ready to run, he's been waiting patiently for this, maybe he sat around and thought about it before he decided to kill these people. Thats just a bit of what I think.
Its about the Artist who is driven insane because after Annabel was murdered and he thought he killed her at first(before he met the thespian) and he was being being driven insane because he kept hearing her cry out to him and he kept seeing her reflection in mirrors, So he just went crazy and locked 7 people in a tavern and Slashed them all to death, so he blames Annabel for causing him this Insanity.

Yes, this song is about him killing people in the bar and he's telling us in the lyrics how he killed them and what it was like and when it says "looking in i see a lonely man, Etching tally's into the bar he's talking about himself writing tally marks into the bar counting the people he killed and when it says "Looking in I see a desperate man, repeating something to the floor" its talking about The Thespian that was in the bar that saw everything he did and all the people he killed in the bar. Amazing song I...

Amazing song I love the chorus its just so clever and the death growls are just epic!
What above Trina Tragedy stated by quoting part of the story Alesana wrote: He came to the town and was angry at hearing others happy when he was not. He loved the irony of there being 7 men in the bar (The superstition of 'seven broken mirrors is bad luck') and he went in to kill all of them. <3 Alesana ~Tessa

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K2ftKn8yoNY ^give a listen !
this is just a stupid "possible" interpretation but... I was just listening and it made me think of Breaking Dawn... you know except for the Annabel line, and other lines, which is a dead give away to Poe's Annabel Lee
but yea, I'm not a twihard, but I enjoyed the books (story-wise). Stephanie Meyer is a terrible writer.
