Darkest Blue Lyrics
I can see into this abyss,
There is no stopping myself,
From feeling this.
And I think it's coming through,
The air it torments me,
I try to move that dial,
And change this frequency.
Everywhere that I go,
Misery will follow,
And it won't let me go,
And it won't let go.
I keep fading into you,
Drowning in your darkest blue,
The sorrow pulls me down,
I'm weightless without sound,
I still hear them calling.
There's no hope,
There's no hope for me,
Cause I can't silence the sound,
They keep calling me. (They keep calling me)
Everywhere that I go,
Misery will follow,
And it won't let me go,
And it won't let go.
I keep fading into you,
Drowning in your darkest blue,
The sorrow pulls me down,
I'm weightless without sound,
I still hear them calling.
I still hear them calling.
Everywhere that I go,
Misery will follow,
And it won't let me go,
It won't let go,
It won't let go.

Drowning in your darkest blue,

I still hear them calling,
I still hear them calling,
I still hear them calling,
I still hear them calling.

I still hear them calling,
I still hear them calling.

In retrospect, this song could be about his pedo urges.
@treetherealest Sad, isn't it? Hopefully not. I keep thinking that about songs on the Weapons album in particular.

@treetherealest Yeah, I was thinking that too.... I felt like listening to them yesterday and listened through all of Start Something, forgot how much I loved it. And I really liked The Betrayed, but the lyrics are definitely darker... even Watkins himself said it was 'nasty' and portrayed his character :/ I dunno when all his awful behaviour started, and whether it seeped into the lyrics. I'm doing pretty well to disassociate their music and what he did as completely separate things. It's harder though, when he's the lead vocalist AND lyricist. But damn they had good music. I can...

What a beautiful and magical piece of work. This song follows the rest of the trend throughout there new album. It's all about betrayal and attempting to find love within a person. He writes about being lost from the world and all he wants is for this particular person to rescue him, but it seems everytime he puts his trust in this person he somehow gets lost and a part of him fades within this persons "Darkest Blue." When around this person he can see that all that he knew is gone and all the people that were with him have now stopped caring for him and that makes him dwell more into this particular person, and thus he gets more lost in this person
This song is beautiful. I think its about not being satisfied even when things are going ok (everywhere that I go misery will follow) and sometimes when we get what we want it's not as good as we thought it would be. We always want more and so we are always drowning in the darkest blue.
Thats just my two cents. This song is exactly how I'm feeling right now and I don't really know exactly how to describe it.
