We'll Find Out Lyrics
Do your actions mention, your heart's intentions,
We'll find out
We'll find out
Is your mind mistaken, is your conscience not at ease,
We'll find out
We'll find out
Do you strive to deny each kindred spirit in the room,
We'll find out
We'll find out
And is your highest pleasure now, the misfortune of fools,
We'll find out
We'll find out
You hide nothing, just believe it, we all see it
oooohhhh ooh ooohh
In the basement, you did wait,
wondering what they would do,
and you could not accept the fate
of three thousand volts through you
and there is nothing you could say
only what you should have done
and you should have walked away
instead you're living on the run
Now it's coming forth, the sea
and it's moving through the trees
it is the wind before your hand
as its coming down upon me
you hide nothing
just believe it
We all see it
We'll find out
We'll find out
We'll find out
We'll find out
We'll find out
We'll find out
We'll find out
We'll find out
wondering what they would do,
and you could not accept the fate
of three thousand volts through you
and there is nothing you could say
only what you should have done
and you should have walked away
instead you're living on the run
and it's moving through the trees
it is the wind before your hand
as its coming down upon me
just believe it
We all see it

Really, really like this band! They incorporate a collection of genres, not only the blues. However, something is amiss and I can't quite put my finger on it. No soul, perhaps? Anyhow, this seems to be about how one never knows how they are perceived because they are unable to gain "outside" perspective. Great song, and I especially like the simplistic prevailing themes within each and every one of their songs.
It's like this song is about the film "The Green Mile". I'm not sure whether or not that is what inspired it, but it definitely reminds me of it.
To me this in unmistakably about depression, psychosis and the stay at a psychiatric ward. The "we" is the psychiatrists and nurses perspective - they'll find out. They know and understand more about you than you yourself do at the fragile, upside-down state you're in.
I think this is a recurrent theme in the whole album.
