Towards the beginning she is hurt, but as she talks about everything He's done she talks herself into not loving him anymore.From there is finally over this guy. She wants him to know how much he's going to miss her. She makes it one sided. She is completely done with this guy and so she's showing all the effects as only affecting him: The beat drops YOUR so alone. She's fine without him. She won't be alone YOU"LL miss me till the day YOU die. She won't miss him for a life time, but he will.

Then she goes on to further add to everything he did to her "Then you lied, and it gets worse. You broke me down...", but this time she's not regretful or sad. Now she's got an in-your-face, this is why I'm done with you, so to say, tone. She is using these lines to back herself up, or help her see that she's making the right choice in saying there is no more Us, it's only you and I.

This song goes through common steps of grief. First she's sad and feels isolated, "I'm solo...You left me all alone." Then anger: "I'm sick and tired of the mess you made. You'll miss me till the day you die." Acceptance: "I've let go, finally over you." and, "Now look who's all alone now."

I do feel like she has that memory in the back of her mind that she never completely let go of. She says "you're never gonna catch me cry." She never says she won't cry, he just won't see her cry. From personal experience I can say that when people have something really great, even when it's gone the good memories never quite leave. We as humans tend to hold onto the memories that make us happy. So when you remember those often times you make yourself fall back into being with them and having the world at your feet, but then when you snap out of it you fall apart because that isn't yours anymore. Basically, when she thinks of those memories he won't be around to see her fall apart.

this song to me reminds me of my so called 'best friend' who picked her boyfriend over our friendship even though he trashed me verbally and i never said a word about him, hilarious! but the whole "you're sleeping with the enemy" thing and "you'll miss me til the day you die" really makes me think about it haha

My old BFF got a boyfriend, who was a total a**, and she automatically started to overlook me. I didn't mind it that much at the beginning, but it was really weird cuz' as time progressed she just became more distant... until one day we didn't talk to each other at all, and I was hurt (I think you got the best of me/you're sleeping with the enemy/You left me all alone).

Then we went to this party on next Friday and I usually danced with my old bff and my other friends, but she totally ditched me, and left the party early with him. (The beat drops/I'm solo/My heart stops/I already know/You left me all alone).

She has always made the problems and I've always had to clean them up! I've cried so many times about how mean she was. And she just neglected me! honestly, where would she have be if she didn't have me for so long? I've been her "shoulder to cry on" for almost twelve years... and then she just leaves for a guy. That weekend I spent the whole time with my other, real, friends, who I vented to, and they all said that the old bff was ignoring them too. So I talked to my mom, that Monday I went to the school counselor to see if I was right to move on, and she agreed... so I did... I moved on. (I've let go/ finally over you/this drama that you put me through/I'm better all alone)

About a week later there was another party. And as the party really started to pick up, I heard my old bff and her boyfriend fighting...but she was devastated. And when she saw me she just threw herself on me saying how much she missed me and how wrong she was to trust her boyfriend, etc. I called her on her bulls** and I walked away. I felt like it was another, "let me use you to lift myself back up" thing and she’s did that so many times I just left.(The beat drops/You're solo/It's last call/And it's gotten old/Now look who's all alone)

Same situation for the chorus. She was the first person I opened up too, the first person I trusted, etc. (I trusted you/You were the first/ Then you lied/And it gets worse)

after that, she found me and walked up to me and called me a b**ch for not being there for her when she "needed me the most". Then she went on to talk about how I was possibly, the worst friend anyone could have. And that she would never talk to me again (honestly? by that time I wanted to slap her)

So I told her, "How can I be the worst friend when we aren't even friends? How can you call me a b**ch after you abandoned and mistreated me for over 8 months, when you were with him? How can you even say that I wasn't there for you, when you were never, ever, there for me?" (You broke me down/ Now just look around/Whose all alone/) Needless to say, at the end of the night she got dumped and I left the party with my real friends. (WHO'S ALL ALONE NOW?)
