Literal interpretation:
a pirate ship got attacked by an enemy pirate vessel. Right before the sail rips and everyone abandons the ship, the captain realizes all the things he's done wrong. The crew then gets captured and has to walk the plank. This is when the captain is regretting all what he's done.
You're missing a whole shitload of lines at the end.
He doesnt just say walking the plank of guilt.. theres more in there but i cant figure it all out.
