    My InterpretationI love this song because I can definitely relate and since it was used to conclude the awesome series Monk it gives a greater significance to me. This song is about when friends are forced to part from each other. I think its message is that people don’t realize how much a friendship means until it is taken away from them. The song also speaks about how this person was going through a difficult time in his life when he met this friend and the friend helped him through his difficult times. The friend had shaped him into a better person and he is so thankful for that and this song is a message of thankfulness to that friend- a final goodbye.

    This song speaks so true to me as I am finishing up my up my last semester at college and I am force to leave all the friends I have made behind and I may never see them again. It is important to tell the people closest to you how much they mean to you because there will be someday when they will no longer be there for you.

    Since this song concludes the show MONK, I just want to thank Monk for influencing my life. The show has an undertone of accepting people who are different as Monk suffers from many different phobias and OCD. It was such a great show and continued to make me laugh over the years. Monk I am sure going to miss you when you are gone and thanks so much for the wonderful eight years.
