I Will Not Reap Destruction Lyrics
Mindless.
This mindless flesh that devours,
it keeps me bound at the bottom.
And to live in this flesh
will keep me bound by myself.
Hollowed out your heart to live this way.
Was it that hard to let love fade?
Lashing out, yet reserved.
The mindless are easily lured
in pain and perverse.
Lured to this dream alluring to the skies
to live among them and to never die, never die.
The mindless are easily lured.
The mindless are easily lured.
Lured to this dream alluring to the skies
To live among them and to never die, never die, never die.
To be worth more, though we are made the same.
To attain love by rule rather than by choice.
Mindless.
This mindless flesh that devours,
it keeps me bound at the bottom.
And to live in this flesh
will keep me bound by myself.
So fill your heart to live in love,
lock arms with your brothers,
break the binds of this flesh.
This mindless flesh that devours.
This mindless flesh
Let us not become conceited.
I will not reap destruction
but life instead.
Lured to this dream alluring to the skies
To live among them and to never die, never die, never die
To be worth more, though we are made the same.
To attain love by rule rather than by choice.
This mindless flesh that devours,
it keeps me bound at the bottom.
And to live in this flesh
will keep me bound by myself.
Was it that hard to let love fade?
Lashing out, yet reserved.
The mindless are easily lured
in pain and perverse.
to live among them and to never die, never die.
The mindless are easily lured.
The mindless are easily lured.

lock arms with your brothers,

i think this song is about them being a band with positive views.
and how most bands "lure" kids in with songs of hatred. and WCAR is trying to lure them in with a message of hope and love.
jus my opinion.
i really don't know.
this songs harder to understand than most.
this band is amazing!
i can't wait for a follow up album. =].
I think this song holds a deeper meaning than most people actually think. To me it sounds like their own veiws on religion "lured to this dream, alluring to the skies. To live Among them and never die." combined with "the mindless are easily led" makes me believe that this is about Christianity and how they think of it as a dream, a sort of false reality. And."to attain love by rule rather than by choice", describes how one-sided they view it. More like more people are forced into it, rather than their own personal choice.
At first hearing this band, I thought they would be just like every other new "core" band out there, but these guys really have something to say in their music and I can completely relate to it. No matter how you percieve this song, it's one of the best I've ever heard.
I think you to could both be right. the meanings of there songs are unclear and difficult to decifer. but the band is great, the are different from most of the other metal bands and there songs have a deeper meaning then the others. However i do think that this song could be a referecne to whats currently going on with the earth right now. because many of their other songs< (for example: "To Plant a Seed") refer to te condition the earth is in and how man is affecting it. Im not an expert but if i had...

Good song
I'd like to point out the biblical reference in this song.
"I will not reap destruction, but life instead" is found in Galations 4.
is it not "was it that hard to let love in?" 'in' instead of 'fade' wouldnt that make more sense? it's small but i really love that part of the song and that's what i hear
