That night I felt like I've become something treasured, different
Can I tell you a story
As we dance while the sun starts to bleed
Song of songs, love is calling
Daughter, wake up from your sleep
Refined, I'll become the most dazzling precious treasure
I'll be treasured over all the Earth
Bearing the gift of a new heart
Patience ablaze, I'm slowly burning
Refined, I'll become the most dazzling precious treasure
I'll be treasured over all the Earth
I am in awe and in shock
I'm in love and given away
I'm reserved with these words
Can I tell you a story
As we dance while the sun starts to bleed
Trees rejoice with the wind here
Hallelujah, Yeshua
Tonight I've become the most dazzling precious treasure
I am treasured over all the Earth
Just look at what He's done
How He's laying down His life
Take this life
Oh, most dazzling precious treasure
Tonight I've become the most dazzling precious treasure
I am treasured over all the Earth
As we dance while the sun starts to bleed
Song of songs, love is calling
Daughter, wake up from your sleep
I'll be treasured over all the Earth
Patience ablaze, I'm slowly burning
I'll be treasured over all the Earth
I'm in love and given away
I'm reserved with these words
As we dance while the sun starts to bleed
Trees rejoice with the wind here
Hallelujah, Yeshua
I am treasured over all the Earth

Oh, most dazzling precious treasure

This is about the night Lacey was Saved. When you're Saved, you feel like a treasure and you feel precious in God's eyes and it's all so surreal. It gives you a new heart and shows you what He's done and what He's still doing. :)
I agree with 'ftyd24', I think this is about the night she became saved. Listening to this song brings tears to my eyes because it reminds me of the time when I was going to church and how precious I felt. It serves as a reminder that God only wants the best for us and He makes sure to make His children feel loved. It definitely makes me rethink the way my life is...
I do think that this song can be translates to the meaning of her elightenedness, and also her engagement. personally I believe it's more faith as she sings Yeshua (which is a spelling mistake to the word Jeshua (it's said Yeshua)) its the true name of Jesus. Joshua is the hebrew form of the greek word Jesus, translations lead to it being Jeshua.
=] Only know that as it's my name >.<.
i think this song is about when she got married with Josh.
In an interview she was talking about how she got engaged and that night she felt like she was the most dazzling precious treasure. I also thought it was about when she got saved. But both meanings are great. :)
I can see the two ideas working together hand in hand. I say this because she mentions song of songs which outlines the explicit love relationship between man and wife, or God and His bride. The passion and beauty of it all. It shows how he searches out His lover and she searches Him out. It's a beautiful book and I can definately see how the relationship started with God when one becomes saved connects with the love relationship when one becomes engaged. :) I love this song so much!
Yeah, in an interview she said she wrote this song the name she was proposed to.
Actually, Lacey did not write this song. Sameer B., one of the band's guitarists did. It says so in the album.

lacey did write it, well, the whole band wrote it, as with all the other songs

Yes, the album booklet reads: "All songs written by (L. Sturm, J.Culpepper, S. Bhattacharya, J. Hartmann, P. Seals)". I'm not sure what album Astyanax is looking at. Lacey herself has also said that she began writing this the night her now husband proposed to her, and I see no reason why would lie about that.

Actually i watched a video where she talked about her proposal for the first time and in that interview she talks about how when she was proposed to she thought about this song and she says the chorus is how she felt that night. So the song was written before she was proposed to, which means she (or they) didn't write the song about her being proposed to. Search Youtube-Flyleaf- Lacey Uncensored.

I think the themes of both God and being a bride can fit in, but separately. The song is about the night someone has just gotten engaged. She's in shock and awe that now one person treasures her above all the rest of the earth.
Bearing the gift of a new heart Patience ablaze, I'm slowly burning
Refined, I'll become the most dazzling precious treasure I'll be treasured over all the Earth
The burning is meant as the feeling of love that washes over her now. "New heart" and "refined" as well as "Just look at what He's done" at the end of the song illustrate how she had trusted her life to God first, and this is the reason she can now feel such pure romantic love.
I am in awe and in shock I'm in love and given away I'm reserved with these words
So she was just proposed to. She's in love w/ her fiancee, and oo, she'll be his and only his. she was given away to him By saying yes, it's like she's been reserved and can now marry only him.
i think its about when she got married too, she felt beautiful im sure. it even says given away and stuff. what does it mean when she says "as the sun starts to bleed"? maybe they danced at sunset? at her wedding...idk
