Pink and Glitter Lyrics

Dawn Roses, that is what you call
All the girls in the world
Even the thorns
You're surrounded by an army of two
Who adore you.

Our joy isn't about a present
Or a grown-up .....?
Little boys are getting an honourable mention from me
But this year I'm thinking

Shower the world
Shower the world
Shower the world with pink if you please
Shower the world
Shower the world

Black satin is what I wore
That, and our hearts left on the floor
How was I in that marshmallow snow
To know my life would change that night

Our joy isn't about a present
Or a grown-up .... ?
Little boys are getting an honourable mention from me
But this year I'm thinking

Shower the world
Shower the world
Shower the world with pink if you please
Shower the world
Shower the world
Shower the world in pink

We will paint the town
Champagne never looked so divine
On his lips the sweetest words:
'Love, you've given me quite a ride'.

I always thought this song was about her daughter (sung to her husband).

You're surrounded by an army of two Who adore you.

I do believe she says "..a grown up motor-toy"

and I am IN LOVE with this song. It is beautiful. Tori's take on the seasonal album is amazing. She has produced another album that just tore the socks from my feet.

I think this song is about the season of winter but doing something different than "silver and gold" this time it is "pink and glitter" and I think she is addressing the feminine aspect that always gets lost or ignored. In the thirty minute interview she explains about the feminine and the rebirth of light. I completely understand what she means. Ahh, I love her.

Great song, one of the best on Midwinter Graces...I love the big band.

And yeah, I read in an interview it's about celebrating the feminine aspects of Christmas that often get ignored:

'Little boys are getting an honourable mention from me But this year I'm thinking Shower the world with pink if you please.'
