[Cheryl:]
I met a guy at the club
I let him know what I love

[Will I Am:]
I met a girl at the bar
I let her know who you are

I told her you are the love of my life
And one day you gon' be my wife
And we are gonna have some babies together, uh huh

[Cheryl:]
I told him you are the man of my dreams
You saved me from drowning in the streams
I know where, will it gon' last forever?

It was those 3 words that saved my life
It wasn't complicated
Wasn't premeditated
It wasn't under rated
Boy I'm so glad you stayed and
It was those 3 words that saved my life
It wasn't complicated
Wasn't premeditated
To you I'm dedicated
Let's go ahead and say it

I love you, I love you
You are the love of my life, my life
I love you, I love you, I love you
You are the love of my life, my life

[Will I Am:]
You know your holding my heart
Can't nothing tear us apart

[Cheryl:]
You know I'm so in love with you
Can't nothing tear us apart, no

[Will I Am:]
I said I-L-O-V-E-Y-O-U
I'm so into you girl, she said

[Cheryl:]
M-E-T-O-O
It's obvious I'm so into you boy
So why don't we hold on for love
Through the ups and downs
Never let go
Holding on forever never let go

It all started with the 3 words that saved my life
It wasn't complicated, it wasn't complicated
It wasn't complicated, it wasn't complicated

Baby yes, 3 words saved my life

I love you, I love you
You are the love of my life
I love you, I love you, I love you
You are the love of my life, my life

Not too keen on the lyrics, bit cheesy. BUT I adore this song when I hear it. Sounds completely unlike how youd imagine it from the lyrics. Really atmospheric and lovely.

Something strangely catchy about this song, obviously about being in love.

    Some corrections:

I met a guy at the club I let him know I'm in love.

It wasn't complicated, wasn't premeditated, it wasn't underrated, boy i'm so glad you stayed.

    M-E T-O-O, it's obvious i'm so into you boy.

    Just one more correction:

"it wasn't complicated, wasn't premeditated, it wasn't underrated, boy i'm so glad you stated those three words"

If you look you'll see there's an 'ated' at the end of the words, they're all untidily linked and its almost pulled off lol. Its strange but i love it

Don't know If I like Cole, but I DEFINITELY like this song...

Agreed, very cheesy but pretty in its own way. I'm tend to put music before lyrics, so the beat's really addicting to me.

And although enjoy the original version, the Doman & Gooding Mix is what got me hooked

It's a terrible song in all honesty

the words are sooo narrow and simple and the music doesn't make for much relief. It's basically two people talking. To a really low beat.

i thought it was such a cheesy song at first, but now i love it so much. Practically addicted to it. I love the guitar bit. Hate remixes, they're so gay

It tooks me a while to fully appreciate this song, and Cheryl for that matter; at first lisyen I found the song very bland and I didn't think the hook was very strong, however I have grown to love the subtle nature of this song as I tend to grow tired of songs very easily, but this song grew on me and I now still never tire of listening to it. I must add though, it did take me a while to clock on to the fact Cheryl replied me too and I was sat like a delinquent for a while thinkinh what metoo could mean :)

At first glance to me this song appeared to be about two people meeting in a club and falling in love with eachother, however:

(Cheryl Cole) I met a guy at the club I let him know what I love

^^ She meets a guy in a club and is making it clear that she told him she is in love with someone already.

(will.i.am) I met a girl at the bar I let her know who you are

^^ in a similar situation he also meets someone at a bar but makes it clear that he 'let her know who you are'.

I told her you are the love of my life And one day you're gonna be my wife And we are gonna have some babies together

I told her you are the love of my life And one day you're gonna be my wife And we are gonna have some babies together

(Cheryl Cole) I told him you are the man of my dreams You saved me from drowning in the streams I know we're really gonna last forever and ever

^^ Theyve told the person at the bar the person they are with is more or less the one.

It was those 3 words that saved my life It wasn't complicated, wasn't premeditated, it wasn't underrated, boy I'm so glad you made it It was those 3 words that saved my life It wasn't complicated, wasn't premeditated, to you I'm dedicated, let's go ahead and say it

^^'it was those three words that saved my life' - This to me explains why they are soo keen to express their love for eachother to strangers in a bar, seems that they have saved eachother in some way almost as if they were in a bad place before they met and thats why they are so in love with eachother.

I love you I love you You are the love of my life, my life I love you I love you I love you You are the love of my life, my life

(will.i.am) You know you're holding my heart Can't nothing tear us apart

(Cheryl Cole) You know I'm so in love with you Can't nothing tear us apart, no

^^this explains that they believe nothing will break them up and neither one needs to worry about ebing torn apart by the other partner meeting someone new at a bar. (will.i.am) I say I L-O-V-E Y-O-U, I'm so into you girl, she said...

(Cheryl Cole) M-E T-O-O, so serious, I'm so into you boy So why don't we (we) hold (hold) on (on) to (to) love (love) Through the ups and downs, never let go Holding on forever, never let go

It all started with 3 words that saved my life It wasn't complicated, it wasn't complicated, it wasn't complicated, it wasn't complicated Baby it's 3 words that saved my life

I love you I love you You are the love of my life, my life I love you I love you I love you You are the love of my life, my life

    ^as explained before.

Overall the song is about two people reminiscing on how they have met someone at a bar but basically noone will stand a chance with them because they are so in love with their current partner as somehow they have 'saved eachother' with their love. Just my opinion guys :D

Fortnight
Taylor Swift
The song 'Fortnight' by Taylor Swift and Post Malone tells a story about strong feelings, complicated relationships, and secret wishes. It talks about love, betrayal, and wanting someone who doesn't feel the same. The word 'fortnight' shows short-lived happiness and guilty pleasures, leading to sadness. It shows how messy relationships can be and the results of hiding emotions. “I was supposed to be sent away / But they forgot to come and get me,” she kickstarts the song in the first verse with lines suggesting an admission to a hospital for people with mental illnesses. She goes in the verse admitting her lover is the reason why she is like this. In the chorus, she sings about their time in love and reflects on how he has now settled with someone else. “I took the miracle move-on drug, the effects were temporary / And I love you, it’s ruining my life,” on the second verse she details her struggles to forget about him and the negative effects of her failure. “Thought of callin’ ya, but you won’t pick up / ‘Nother fortnight lost in America,” Post Malone sings in the outro.

Light Up The Sky
Van Halen
The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.

The Night We Met
Lord Huron
This is a hauntingly beautiful song about introspection, specifically about looking back at a relationship that started bad and ended so poorly, that the narrator wants to go back to the very beginning and tell himself to not even travel down that road. I believe that the relationship started poorly because of the lines: "Take me back to the night we met:When the night was full of terrors: And your eyes were filled with tears: When you had not touched me yet" So, the first night was not a great start, but the narrator pursued the relationship and eventually both overcame the rough start to fall in love with each other: "I had all and then most of you" Like many relationships that turn sour, it was not a quick decline, but a gradual one where the narrator and their partner fall out of love and gradually grow apart "Some and now none of you" Losing someone who was once everything in your world, who you could confide in, tell your secrets to, share all the most intimate parts of your life, to being strangers with that person is probably one of the most painful experiences a person can go through. So Painful, the narrator wants to go back in time and tell himself to not even pursue the relationship. This was the perfect song for "13 Reasons Why"

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

No Surprises
Radiohead
Same ideas expressed in Fitter, Happier are expressed in this song. We're told to strive for some sort of ideal life, which includes getting a good job, being kind to everyone, finding a partner, getting married, having a couple kids, living in a quiet neighborhood in a nice big house, etc. But in Fitter, Happier the narrator(?) realizes that it's incredibly robotic to live this life. People are being used by those in power "like a pig in a cage on antibiotics"--being pacified with things like new phones and cool gadgets and houses while being sucked dry. On No Surprises, the narrator is realizing how this life is killing him slowly. In the video, his helmet is slowly filling up with water, drowning him. But he's so complacent with it. This is a good summary of the song. This boring, "perfect" life foisted upon us by some higher powers (not spiritual, but political, economic, etc. politicians and businessmen, perhaps) is not the way to live. But there is seemingly no way out but death. He'd rather die peacefully right now than live in this cage. While our lives are often shielded, we're in our own protective bubbles, or protective helmets like the one Thom wears, if we look a little harder we can see all the corruption, lies, manipulation, etc. that is going on in the world, often run by huge yet nearly invisible organizations, corporations, and 'leaders'. It's a very hopeless song because it reflects real life.
