Believe in Nothing (Nevermore cover) Lyrics
Into a strange new world, into the after
All your tears might find you've fallen too far
Take another look, take another ride
Can't we make them leave the hate behind
And I still believe in nothing
Will we ever see the shape of tomorrow?
Into the empty storm, into the formless loss of hope,
Where we can forget the game
And I still believe in nothing
Will we ever see the cure for our sorrow
Nothing is sacred when no one is saved
Nothing's forever so count your days
Nothing is final and no one is real
Pray for tomorrow and find your empty still
Nothing
All your tears might find you've fallen too far
Take another look, take another ride
Can't we make them leave the hate behind
Will we ever see the shape of tomorrow?
Where we can forget the game
Will we ever see the cure for our sorrow
Nothing's forever so count your days
Nothing is final and no one is real
Pray for tomorrow and find your empty still

Well...I believe the title is called "Believe In Nothing", for starters.
Secondly, I believe it's about religion. "Pray for tomorrow and find you're empty still..."
Not just religion, but the fact that religion is false and misguiding. I believe he's telling people not to believe any of it. Or it might just be, don't believe in anything. Pave your own way, don't let things or other people guide you. Guide yourself. Live yourself.
@AlexiaS Thanks ... I have updated the song title.

This song is a little depressing to me.
"Into a strange new world, into the after All your tears might find you've fallen too far Take another look, take another ride Can't we make them leave the hate behind"
Knowing that Phil went through a break up, I think this is a sort of loss of hope in finding that other one to love. I myself have been there before. Where you start to lose faith that there is someone out there for you. A person in this state of mind can have a lot of anger towards a certain person or people in general. These lines might be about looking past that and giving someone a chance, even though you have been hurt in the past.
"Nothing is sacred when no one is saved Nothing's forever so count your days Nothing is final and no one is real Pray for tomorrow and find your empty still"
It's hard to give yourself to someone after experiencing so much heartache, and a lot of doubt has a tendency to creep into your mind. Without the companionship that we all crave, there is a sense of emptiness in our hearts.
That is a really good interpretation.

The other is a song trying to look at the athiast point of view, knowing that phil has faith, perhaps he is trying too look at the athiast point of view, stating what they must think and the pointlessness of the idea that nothing is above us and there is no greater power, its kinda hard to explain but i hope you get...

I know and enjoy the fact that most of phils lyrics are christian and i would think that he would sort of be sticking to that form of music and lyrics.
This is a cover song, according to the cd booklet can't remember who originally done it though.
Nevermore has a Version. IDK if it's the original but they have. Amazing song though.

wow. i had no idea this was a cover song.
Wow...he has undergone some serious changed in his beliefs about reality. Their last album was pretty obviously religious, and now he's saying that nothing is final and no one is real? SERIOUS change in mindset since the last album, and a sad one at that....
What does he mean by "nothing is sacred, when no one is saved"?
Nothing lasts forever (people live and then die, stone turns to dust in time) = nothing is sacred cause nothing can be saved. Or, everything that we as people value, strive for, want, desire, build is not sacred if mankind does not save itself (IE we are running towards an end we refuse to try and change).

Every 3 or 4 months, I listen to this song and break into tears. It comforts me in a weird way by helping my accept and be content with a lack of enduring happiness in a world that is apparently Godless. I will cry myself to sleep with this beautiful song tonight.
I just listened to the original version of this song, by Nevermore, it's so much better!
