Brand New Eyes Tour Intro Lyrics

so your father told you once
that you were his princess
but you won't see the castle
and you cannot find your prince
and now you've grown a lot
and your dresses don't fit right
your daddy's not a hero
he stole your chariot

so here you are in pieces
trying to prove to us it's real
the softness of your smile
and the lies you want to feel
the scales beneath your skin
are showing off today
there's evil in your heart
and it wants out to play

there's evil in your heart
and it wants out to play
there's evil in your heart

and I have made a home here
for me
you'll burn it down with your fantasy

This sounds so cool live. Although I don't believe that it's their best intro, it sounds sick. Usually they just add a bit to the beginning of a song, so it's really awesome that their intro is practically it's own song. They never cease to impress me.

The darkest song, that hay had ever wrote. love it It's about lost faith.. about reality as well This girl knows this new world.. her father is a bitch He's not even close what she had dream of.

But there's something we have in comom my father stole my chariot too.

My Opinion

this into sounds like it has the same meaning as brick by boring brick, which is that life isnt the fairy tale you thought it was when you were little. i realize theres more meaning to the song then that, but thats pretty much the over all meaning

opps i meant intro not into

This should have been the intro on the album. That would have been great!

Why so few comments... and why dosent anyone look at this albulm as one full ongoing story. I feel like it all ties into ecah other, each song.

So in this CD I see diffrent things going on. Some of the songs are about love, yes, but did anyone notice that in songs like careful there are all of these anti-religious refrences. Such as "The truth never set me free, so I did it myself"

To me this song, and alot of songs on this CD are about struggles with faith. What if the 'dad' in this song is suppose to refrence God? Just another way to think of it.

I agree with ksmith08.. I realized that many of the songs in this album is against God.. And found out the truth in youtube,. Watch the "Satanic Cult in Music Industry".. where Paramore is now one of them..

I love it, it has so much, and it matches their album perfectly... and then they go in Ignorance!

"so your father told you once that you were his princess" When you're younger, your parents tell you life is a fairytale.

"you won't see the castle you cannot find your prince" Trying to find your fairytale, but can't seem to get it right

"and now you've grown a lot and your dress don't fit right" Your innocence is dissapearing as you age

"your daddy's not a hero he stole your chariot " Realizing your parents aren't perfect.

"so here you are in pieces trying to prove to us it's real" Pretending that your life is perfect even though it's crap.

"the softness of your smile and the lies you want to feel" Trying to continue to make yourself believe life is perfect.

"the scales beneath your skin are showing off today there's evil in your heart and it wants out to play there's evil in your heart and it wants out to play there's evil in your heart" You're getting more and more bitter about your life not working the way you want it to

"and I have made a home here for me" Trying to live my own life

"you'll burn it down with your fantasy" And now i have to fix yours and disrupt my whole life.

This is how i see this song. I hope they release a studio version soon!

My Interpretation

XxmisguidedghostxX know's that's what the poem mean's

XxmisguidedghostxX - great interpretation!!! I love how this intro thing gives references to childhood beliefs and fairytales, and how once you've grown every little fairytale turns out to be a sort of lie that basically just got your hopes up and you need to make things right & learn the hard way.
