On the first day
I hoped that we would see this through
But now you're leaving
I don't know what I'm supposed to do
See, you're not listening
I'm clearly just not getting through
So if you're leaving
I won't stand in front of you

Tell me there's something in this web we weave
Can't you say you know this chapter's closed after all

Would you come back
If I said all of the right things
Would you come back
If I didn't ever need anything
Oh baby, tell me anything I have to do
When you read this
I hope you know these words are meant for you

Tell me there's something in this web we weave
Can't you see now I know you can't be everyone's friend

Tell me anything begging, pleading
Take back what you said
Wish all this was pretend, but now I know
You can't be everyone's friend all the time

On the first day
I hoped that you would see the truth
But if you're leaving
I won't stand in front of you again
No no no..

In the unlikely Event that you think this album sucks, as you compare it to their other stuff

you wonder, why is it so different? so you just look it up, on the Web, and you see that other people hate it too, but it still doesnt make sense, why did The Fall of Troy release an album so different then their other material? most people can understand and cope with the thought of a band wanting to release an album that they are pleased with.

at this point in the album, Webs, you find all other the web, that this has been

    "A Game"

all the lyrics are talking about you, the listener, but you know, things could be much worse

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."
