Feeling Sorry Lyrics
We still live in the same town
Well, don't we?
But I don't see you around anymore
I go to all the same places
Not even a trace of you
Your days are numbered at twenty-four
And I'm getting bored, waiting around for you
We're not getting any younger
And I won't look back, 'cause there's no use
It's time to move forward
I feel no sympathy
You live inside a cave
You barely get by
The rest of us are trying
There's no need to apologize
I've got no time for feeling sorry
But I try not to think of what might happen
When your reality, it finally cuts through
Well, as for me, I got out and I'm on the road
The worst part is that this, this could be you
And you know it, too
You can't run from your shame
You're not getting any younger
Time keeps passing by
But you wave it away
It's time to roll over
I feel no sympathy
You live inside a cave
You barely get by
The rest of us are trying
There's no need to apologize
I've got no time for feeling sorry
And all the best lies
They are told with fingers tight
So cross them tight
Won't you promise me tonight
If it's the last thing you do, you'll get out?
I feel no sympathy
You live inside a cage
You barely get by
The rest of us are trying
There's no need to apologize
Got no time
Got no time
I feel no sympathy
You live inside a cage
You barely get by
The rest of us are trying
There's no need to apologize
Got no time
I've got no time for feeling sorry
I've got no time for feeling sorry

It's not about Josh. Hayley's not brutal like that.
It's probably about someone else from her past that really effected her...
Could this be about Hunter or Jason. I don't think its about Josh.
also, I think it's "cave" not "cage"..
me too.
me too.
Well, as for me, I got out and I'm on the road The worst part is that this, this could be you
That makes me think it's probably a former band member, not a past boyfriend or anything... Just a thought though.
I'm leaning towards Jason rather than Hunter... Didn't Hunter leave to get married? Why would someone hold a grudge over that? Besides, the line "we still live in the same town" leads me to believe it's Jason as he was/is Hayley's next door neighbour...
Bynum is 26. Hunter is 24. I think it's Hunter, Hunter took time out to get married, THEN decided he didn't want to come back.

Ah, maybe it was a rhyming device, or maybe Bynum was 24 when she wrote the song? Who knows? Is Hunter from Franklin too?

I'm pretty sure it's about Hunter or Jason, probably Hunter because it sounds like it didn't really end in good terms.
"We still live in the same town Well, don't we? But I don't see you around anymore I go to all the same places Not even a trace of you"
Maybe after he left the band, they still had the intentions of staying friends, or he had lead onto it, and she kept that hope for a little while, but she's kind of given up on him now.
"I feel no sympathy You live inside a cage You barely get by The rest of us are trying There's no need to apologize I've got no time for feeling sorry"
Maybe music was his dream, but he wasn't working out with the band and never attempted to fix his problems with them or get with another band. She's saying she knows she would be heart-broken if something like that happened to her, but he didn't even try, so what's the point of feeling sorry for him?
I don't know, that's how I see this song. But all of the good artists make their songs to where they can mean any number of things, so who knows?
it's not jeremy or hunter... but definetly a former member though... maybe and strong probable answer: jason i am not sure though.
yep jason. he commented on a video "Let me clear this all up. yes i did leave after jeremy came back. but it was not because i hated anyone. I had a ton of family things going on and i needed to deal with them and i couldn't do so while i was on the road. so my only option was to leave. believe me when i say it was the hardest thing i have ever had to walk from and i love those guys so much they were like family. so if you have anymore questions please let me...

hint: "they were like family" but they don't talk anymore :(
"i got no time for feeling sorry"
reminds me of a friend of mine
It's "you wave it away," not "waited"
