Fix what’s wrong, but don’t rewrite what the artist wrote. Stick to the official released version — album booklet, label site, verified lyric video, etc. If you’re guessing, pause and double-check.
Respect the structure
Songs have rhythm. Pages do too. Leave line breaks where they belong. Don’t smash things together or add extra empty space just for looks.
Punctuation counts (but vibe-editing doesn’t)
Correct typos? Yes. Re-punctuating a whole verse because it ‘looks better’? Probably not. Keep capitalization and punctuation close to the official source.
Don’t mix versions
If you’re editing the explicit version, keep it explicit. If it’s the clean version, keep it clean. No mashups.
Let the lyrics be lyrics
This isn’t the place for interpretations, memories, stories, or trivia — that’s what comments are for. Keep metadata, translations, and bracketed stage directions out unless they’re officially part of the song.
Edit lightly
If two lines are wrong… fix the two lines. No need to bulldoze the whole page. Think ‘surgical,’ not ‘remix.’
When in doubt, ask the crowd
Not sure what they’re singing in that fuzzy bridge? Drop a question in the comments and let the music nerds swarm. Someone always knows.
It reminds me of that feeling of detatchment that sometimes descends when everyone else is talking and having fun. You're there, but somehow, you just can't bring yourself to be a part of it. You don't feel as though you're a part of it. You're just passing through and observing.
I was wondering for a while now what the background sounds are supposed to make out. First, there are all those "billiard ball shooting" sort of sounds throughout the whole track. But then I started noticing all the human chattering / chuckling / moaning noises as well.
The first thing that came to mind was that this might be a sort of extracted soundtrack from a porn flick. I also got the idea after listening to the track "PC" from "A Few Old Tunes", which is simply a porn flick soundtrack. But after listening to the background here some more times, I'm not sure at all. Sounds more like a kind conversation going on there somehow. But it does sound like several short segments played over and over.
If anyboby has any idea as to what the background here is all about, I'd love to hear about it. I've gone all curious about this...

NOBODY has commented this? This is one of their most popular. anywho, weren't they gonna name their band Hexagon Sun before they changed their minds?

Here's a helpful link: http://bocpages.org/wiki/Turquoise_Hexagon_Sun It suggests that the song includes samples from the Hexagon Sun studios, which is Boards of Canada's studio.
