Leto's Headache Lyrics

Not sure how accurate any of this is, but I think it's pretty close to being the actual thing aside from just a few words being wrong.

This healthy, unhealthy voice
Sits Lennon for you
Your healthy, unhealthy voices
It's several for me

Now who wants to live the soul's desire
Way down we're born to realize
One sobering thought was forced upon
We shall know we'll know

These slivers that warn our feet
Reminders joining us
To the rest, to the rest
The rest is yet to come
To the rest, all the best
The best is yet to come

Now who wants to live the soul's desire
Way down we're born to realize
One sobering thought was forced upon
We shall know we'll know

A silent stare brings the creeping clone
Won't feel you walking in but feel you walking out
Your silent stare brings us closer still
And all her wants out
Keep biting in

Now who wants to live the soul's desire
Way down we're born to realize
One sobering thought was forced upon
We shall know we'll know

actually i read that jared leto does some backup vocals on this song thats where it gets the name from, because they are friends with the 30 seconds to mars guys so...

Actually, I think those are all just rumors. I'd like to see your sources. They might be acquainted with him. I don't know though. :P

Anyway, no, I do not believe Jared Leto is in the song at all. I don't hear him. And he isn't credited anywhere with doing anything for this album. I checked the album booklet.

Hero of the Day's interpretation really interests me, and now I want to read the Dune series.

Chevelle does know the members of 30 Seconds to Mars, as either in 2002 or 2003, the latter did open for the former. But there's also a Greco-Roman goddess (which is where the last name comes from), so the song might be referring to her.

haha, actually i just picked up the first Dune book to see what it's all about, thanks to this song. Whether it is or isn't about the book.

Pretty sure the guy who said Jared Leto has something to do with it is right. Unless there's a Lennon character in the Dune series... In 2007, Jared Leto played Mark David Chapman in "Chapter 27", the guy who shot John Lennon.

Amazing song. I think it's about people that are afraid of the future and don't want to see what lies in store for them and it's saying "We're born to realize" and "We shall know", that you have to accept what comes.

Leto is a character from the DUNE book series. If I'm reading the song right, it refers to Leto Atreides II, who becomes god-like and enters a 3000 year life in "God Emperor of Dune" where he is pregognicient to everything. He has a master plan to save humanity from itself, but he can't stand what he has to become to save them and he can stand being everywhere and nowhere. The song is about how this all makes him feel.

you´re right ! It´s talking about Leto II , Paul Atreides´ son

they're talking about the GrecoRoman goddess.

The dude who said it was a DUNE song is right. Its about the Golden Path. Come on guys, be geekier for the rest of us lol

yes!! Leto Atreides II or also called the God emperor of DUNE. It´s too clair what the song is talking about. The Golden Path. I´m so happy that someone realized it.

At least the mystery where the song comes from and whether it has to do with Jared Letho from 30SecondsToMars is solved by Pete himself by now:

"... Among the more interesting tracks is the closing "Leto's Headache," which was written for 2009's Sci-Fi Crimes and inspired by time spent hanging out with Thirty Seconds to Mars frontman and Academy Award winner Jared Leto and his drummer brother Shannon.

"We had a good friendship for awhile," Loeffler says. "The song just kind of touches on what I saw when I'm around him and how his fame grew so rapidly that...it's hard for him to go out and all that. He has a famous headache, so I wrote about that." ..."
