With Every Passing Day (Upstairs, Downstairs cover) Lyrics

With every passing day,
I close my eyes and say:
"Here it comes, that happy ending,
Sending me on my way."

It's just a game I play,
Dreaming my life away.
Though I know my day is passing,
With every passing day.

Daydreams that fly so far,
Melt all my fears away.
Though I know my day is passing,
With every passing day.

To me, it seems to be saying 'tomorrow will be better,' but instead, saying 'tonight's dreams will be better' but listening to '4 O'clock' it doesn't sound like lovely Ms.Autumn really gets a lot of sleep, nor pleasant dreams. So possibly 'my daydreams will be better' because with daydreams, you can control them and make them into your own little world. Eventually, she's just wasting her days away, simply staying in a pleasantly awake dream.
