Catholic don't pray TO statues. They pray to GOD. They ask other saints to intervene in their prayers. Please don't speak about someone else's faith if you are clueless. I wouldn't speak about your precious children (or mother/father), so show some repect.
LOL, some catholics tend to be fanatics, which is also something to talk about... but also dont forget that hitlers parents were jewish, jewish dont pray to catholic icons...
You would have to describe "fanatic," as the Catholic faith is very mainstream in this country and in Europe. There will always be fringe groups with any religion (just as their are fringe atheists/secular humanists, etc), but a 'fringe" Catholic is not following the teachings of the faith, and therefore would not be considered "Catholic" as the faith goes...
