I feel like it could be about Tracy, but there could be something beyond that. The lyrics kind of make me think of a young romance. Two young lovers who are falling in love and aren't sure if they should be or not. I feel like "ih-ah" could represent either meditative breathing, sex or a meaningless poppy mantra (but probably one of the first two). Any thoughts?
I'm not quite sure myself when it comes to the song itself; it seemed to say to me that there was some kind of problem in a relationship but I'm starting to think along that young couple line. Ih-Ah seems kinda like sex to me but I can't see him referencing that in such a tender song somehow, if you see what i mean

I feel the same way about the title, Ih-Ah sounded like breathing to me. I almost feel like this is about an illicit/young romance (we don't even understand, so how can this be wrong?) and the ih-ah is perhaps, as ampulex said, sex breathing.

I think Dev was just trying to write a cheesy love song, funnily enough it ended up being better than most cheesy love songs
This is not a song about love between two people, but love between all people. Everyone is God and God is everyone, and even that we don't understand how fate draws lines in our lifes, that doesn't mean we won't be a part of it.
I do believe that this song is about lovers, and how one of them has realized that it has turned in something stronger than it used to be and even stronger than it should be that's why he said "As everything in life, comes together now I need your mind". He's even noticed they don't feel wrong about what they feel "We don't even understand so how could this be wrong?". Even he's able to face the truth, he just cannot run away from reality, he knows what is his position and what he's doing "I'm so in love with you...how could I? Ever be untrue, am I with you? With everything I do". In the end of the song it looks like if he's talking with his partner and trying to take a decision "We don't know or care something's always there, we see it's in our hands, but we just don't understand". Finally every "Ih, ah" makes me feel that over all he's suffering.
Come on people... sex is only the first layer; there are many layers beyond sex! ;)
I had a thought maybe it could be about birth of his first child? Tends to change a relationship with oneself and partner with deeper meaning. Throwing it out there.
