Your Unpleasant Family Lyrics
Your unpleasant family
Smashed up my car
(Perfectly uncalled for)
Your unpleasant family
How vile they are
(I crawl out of the wreckage on my knees)
It's alright my flower
So what did we learn?
(In there I found regret amongst the trees)
Snaps of a life we had in the garden
We tear up the flowers
Smashed up my car
(Perfectly uncalled for)
How vile they are
(I crawl out of the wreckage on my knees)
So what did we learn?
(In there I found regret amongst the trees)
We tear up the flowers

Doesn't this have to do with the "incident", as in the car crash? Smashed up my car, crawled out of the wreckage on my knees, to me those are pretty strong indications that this is the same person who was in the crash, or at least this person is comparible to that person, and metaphorically "crawled out of the wreckage on [his/her] knees", while the other person literally did.
It's about the show Arrested Development.

This is the best. =D

That guitar solo is amazing.
Not sure about this song as a whole, but the line "Snaps of a life we had in the garden" seems another instance of a yearning or look back to a better time.
Agree on that one.
Agree on that one.
The next line could either mean that they tore up the flowers, thus destroying their own 'Eden' or just destroying things out of frustration.

This song sounds so cute, the beginning especially. Possibly Porcupine Tree's cutest song?
