The Seance Lyrics

Under gas light
The joining of hands
Chanting a name
Over and over

The table tilts
The circle is broken
Doubting no more
They pay what they owe her

Disembodied
A luminous hand
Holding the air
Passing the current

A voice is channeled
A rope is uncoiled
Flicker the light
And someone is here

We go following sorrow
To free your blood spilling out of the reeds there
Give me a sign I can breathe air
Blood flowing out of the stream there

(Give me something new, please... something I can love)

I've always thought this was about the family that discovered the body in the river during Octane Twisted. I think they turn to a seance to try and contact the spirit of the dead girl, attempting to find how she died.

@Wallamanage holy shit this album goes so much deeper than i initially thought

Nah, it's about a spiritism session (that's what the name of the song means, too). They do make a contact with the ghost, that's for sure. Maybe it didn't end up being what they wished it would be like.

'Give me a sign I can breathe air' i think that should be: Give me a sign I can breathe in air

I think its about a group of friends and family mourning the people who died in an accident (from the previous song octane twisted). When they are holding the candle light vigil the family is communicating with the dead.

No idea what: (Give me something new, please... something I can love) Is all about. Its also in the octane twisted song right before.

I like your idea, and have a suggestion for the meaning of (Give me something new, please... something I can love) is...the speaker is looking for something/someone new to fill the hole of the person who died.

Yeah, i think it is. In the pictures in the book of the deluxe edition, there are pictures of a family holding a child. I believe that they fill the whole of a loved one who had died by having another child, thats what I have withdrawn.

This must be the song about a cult that ends up killing its members or something.
