Go Lyrics
Little change of the heart
Little light in the dark
Little hope that you just might find
Your way up out of here
'Cause you've been hiding for days
Wasted and wasting away
But I got a little hope today
You'll face your fears
Yeah, I know it's not easy
I know that it's hard
Follow the lights to the city
Get up and go
Take a chance and be strong
Or you could spend your whole life holding on
Don't look back; just go
Take a breath, move on
Or you could spend your whole life holding on
You could spend your whole life holding on
Believe the tunnel can end
Believe your body can mend
Yeah, I know you can make it through
'Cause I believe in you
So let's go put up a fight
Let's go make everything all right
Go on and take a shot
Go give it all you got
Oh, yeah, I know it's not easy
I know that it's hard
No, it's not always pretty
Get up and go
Take a chance and be strong
Or you could spend your whole life holding on
Don't look back; just go
Take a breath, move on
Or you could spend your whole life holding on
You could spend your whole life holding on
Don't wanna wake up to the telephone ring
Are you sitting down?
I need to tell you something
Enough is enough
You can stop waiting to breathe
And don't wait up for me
Get up and go
Take a chance and be strong
Or you could spend your whole life holding on
Don't look back; just go
Take a breath, move on
Or you could spend your whole life holding on
Get up and go
Take a chance and be strong

This song is about how time doesn't slow down, and you should leave some things behind like the past that hurts you, and keep other things like the friends you've come to know and love.
The present and the past will affect your future. Try your hardest to make your future bright. Hold on to your dreams and keep moving forward with faith and confidence.
Everyday you should become stronger. And learn new things. You never know what the future may have in store for you. Whether it be 20 years from now, or just tomorrow. Anything could happen.
Just keep moving on. The whole point of this song is that you should keep moving forward and live your life. Don't be stuck in the past because it isn't coming back for you to fix it.
There should be something pushing you to do your best and continue moving on, whether it be a dream, goal, or just something you wanna someday do.

This song is about someone who has been living in the past. Reliving something that’s happened in their life over and over again. They just can’t seem to let it go and move on. So in this song it tells them to be brave and just accept things as they are, even though it will be hard. They believe in that person to have the strength to pull through and see the light in the darkness. The person is obviously scared of leaving their little comfort zone of hiding away from whatever the problem is. They’re saying “Just try your best to forget it, it can only make you stronger or you’re going to end up wasting your life reliving something that can’t be changed. Believe in yourself that you can do it, believe that it can only get better from here on”. Then they’re saying “Okay, You need to stop avoiding it, you just need to get on with life, accept and forget what happened”.
You can assume the song is about someone who is dealing with depression but is not fighting against it. However, I look deep into the lyrics and I think this...
From my view, I see this song as a message from a loved one who has died, to someone they have left behind who are struggling to come to terms with it. They can see that they’re holding them back from life so they’re encouraging them to continue their lives because they still have so much to live for and that they shouldn’t dwell on the unfortunate things in life but should look forward with hope. I get this impression particularly from the lines ‘You can stop waiting to breathe / Don’t wait up for me’ saying “Don’t worry about me, you’re still alive so make the most of it” and also the line ‘Don’t wanna wake up to the telephone ring’, the idea of that ‘phone call’ that changes your life when you hear the news. Sad, yet a beautiful and inspirational song =]
@handsareturning hej I think you're right! there's a video on youtube where he explains what the song is about. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BRqBrVrYOsM

MiNHaJ: It shows that you are too skeptical about what an artist makes. If it's a nice song then so be it. It doesn't HAVE to come from this or that.
Anyway, back to the topic. If you ask me, this song is definitely about a person facing depression, a death, a loss, anything. This person can't face the truth.
And this song is just reaching out to them, telling them that they have to move on, or they'll 'spend their whole life holding on'. Honestly I never expected this from BLG too but it's one of the sweetest songs I find on the album.
Down to the point - this song is amazing. It reaches out to you in ways indescribable.
you're rite..my mistake.
you're rite..my mistake.
too much soundindg like Bon Jovi.....Avril lavigne..and more stuff going on in this album... =0
yea..this album is a big disappointment..the s/t album was way much better..but i think is okay, not great..i only listened to a couple of tracks..
I disagree about the disappointment part... I think it's good that the band's trying out new stuff. Haha, well, people have different opinions.

If you only listened to a couple of tracks how can you form an opinion on the whole album?

To me it sounds like he's singing to someone who has depression...?
I think there trying to tell us all not to live in the past, People change, things change, but life goes on.
We can't hold on & that we have to move forward, He's basically telling us to have the courage :)
I lovee this song. Its about letting go and living ur life, not living in the past that hurts you. Great song.
this song is him singing about himself thru the eyes of one of his parents. all other songs are about partying drinking getting trashed and hooking up. this one is his best view of how his parents see him.
Martin (lead singer) lost one of his best friends from high school to suicide back in 2006. I think that has to do with this song. For instance:
"Don't wanna wake up to the telephone ring Are you sitting down?"
