Ban Nuys Lyrics

Close to the edge of the fire burning
you run if you knew whats best
hiding the sound of the mind I'm losing
crumbling under stress

Buried inside this tomb
Alone with my thoughts, tied up in knots
hoping the sun shines through
The darkest of clouds, warming the ground
Clearing my mind, giving me life

Leaving behind any rational thought
Blurring the lines again
paying the price for the hardest I've fought
burning for every sin

Buried inside this tomb
Alone with my thoughts, tied up in knots
hoping the sun shines through
The darkest of clouds, warming the ground
Clearing my mind, giving me life

Weight of the world has got me down
Feel like I've had enough, I've had enough right now
I'm falling apart, but no one is noticing the sound
i need to turn this all around

Buried inside this tomb
Alone with my thoughts, tied up in knots
hoping the sun shines through
The darkest of clouds, warming the ground
Clearing my mind, giving me life

Deepest song on Consciousness, Sounds like he contemplating suicide and what effects you go through after that cause you can't think clearly at all but your the only that can change your life and no one else can, he saying save yourself cause it's only your fight, and sure people can try to help but the reality is you can only help yourself.

Poet said it almost perfect.

Don't really think it could go as far as suicide. There is def something messed up in this unknown characters life. He is trapped, alone, hoping for better days. Sad part...is i am 100% in his shoes at this point. Best song that SES has made..and i have all albums..i am glad they still have what made them great.

The song seems to show how this guy was falling apart from stress and felt alone while no one noticed the hell he was in. It looks like its getting better though, in the second to last stanza, "I need to turn this all around" implies that he's going to take action to get out of the dark place he was in.
