Would It Matter

I see this song in a Christian aspect. The person has sinned over and over again, and he feels he can not recieve forgivness from God.

A bonus song I wish they would have put on the basic CD for all to hear. One of the most powerful for me.

This is probably their most depressing song. The sadness of this song comes from its sheer reality. I know almost everyone has felt like this some time or another, some maybe for long periods of time. I feel like this often. Awesome job, Skillet

No it's not religious. There is in no way mention of religion. I believe that it is about someone who's depressed. Who is ignored and possibly even bullied maybe in school or who's friends don't really act like friends. They person wants to know if he ended his life would anyone care? Would anyone not sleep because of it? Is it the way they acted that made others not like hem? If they had changed wo ld they care more? All chances that are decisions and or actions they could've made but didn't. Is life worth trying again ? If they were to change would it really matter and change anything?

I think the whole song is about suicide, and the person in the song is wondering if anyone would care if they were to die.

"All the chances that have passed me by, would it matter if I gave it one more try" -- The person in the song has attempted suicide atleast once before. They're thinking about attempting suicide again in a manner that they would have little chance of surviving.

I think the part "All the chances that have past me by, would it matter if I gave it one more try?" can be interprented in two ways:

1. the person is very depressed, and wants to commit suicide. "would it matter if I attemped one more time?"
2. the person is depressed, and is desperatly trying to get better. The person wonders if it would matter to try to get better one more time, or if he/she would fail.

well i don't look at this from a christian aspect, but i am a christian.

it really doesn't matter who you are, your gonna feel depressed and worthless sometimes

I heard this song for the first time today and nearly cried. I can relate to this song soooo much.

i believe that the man in question has been such an asshole that everybody has turned their backs on him and he is thinking that if he got his act straight if anyone would care if he died and that he has not taken any of he chances that people has given him to clean up his act and he wonders if he gave it another shot if it would matter because he has screwed so many people over and he wants to be someone that he should be instead of being a dick and he wonders if it would matter

the way I interpret this song is: he wants to know if he killed himself would anyone care. he also wants to know if he let people in more would it change anything. just my opinion ;)
