"The world is too heavy, to big for my shoulders. Come take the weight off me now." The world is falling down on you, everything is crumbling. Life is so hard and just not going right, and he'd rather be dead than alive.
"Open the sky for me now." This also relates to rather being dead than alive. He is asking for death, he is asking to be sent to Heaven.
