Sweet! First comment! ok here it goes- The main idea is teens growing up and becoming productive adults. The first part is about a girl, and the second (obviously) a boy. At the end they meet each other, OR just their other half.

And the fields are turning-------->time passes And the temperature is rising----->season change See the factories burning--------->observing town life (when?) the wheels keep turning--->thinking of money/work

this song is about a girl who pretends to choke on food to get money and free meals. Her boyfriend isn't very good at it. she wonders if she should stay with him because he's just holding her back from achieving her dreams

These are all pretty nice meanings. But I'm pretty sure it's about sex in the ech ehm aka moon.

this song is obviously about the second book of the Twilight Saga, "New Moon". The parallels are quite obvious.
