Regret & The Grave Lyrics
What is this hell?
What have you done?
Of all the things we've learned from ripping off this earth
the quantities were met and indirectly led to death
In the factories
Teeming with ripe disease
and on your bended knees you took it like a man!Regret rears its despicable head
All those years of ingesting the dead
Living your life with your hands painted red
Gross remorse
In this the final hour
Now that you see what you've done
The cancelled check of life and its bitter taste of dung
The stress of consciousness
In distress and blessing yourself with death
Wolves use their cunning and stalk in the night
We use machinery to exhibit destructive might
They've only the skills adapt for taking their kill
We hide behind the steel and are slaves to our will
You, the consumer now consumed...
...and by your product your insides eaten!
Quite ironic, don't you think?
What have we done?
We've let the foolish taint the air and land!
Of all the things we've learned from ripping off this earth
Plastic and mass created sewer spewing humanure
In the factories
Teeming with ripe disease
and on your bended knees you took it like a man!
Gross remorse
In this the final hour
Now that we see what we've done
The cancelled check of life and its bitter taste of dung
The stress of consciousness
Death obsessed and making a mess
Wolves use their cunning and stalk in the night
We hide like cowards, with machines to magnify our sight
They've only the skills ever evolving to kill
We hide behind the steel and are slaves to our will
You, the consumer now consumed...
...and by your product you will wither away!
And I don't remember us starving to death...
...and I can't recall suffering through it all
They've shown me some things that I'll never forget
...and I'll remind you when you're on your death bed
This is the grave, this is regret.
LOOK AT THIS HELL!
LOOK WHAT YOU'VE DONE!
In this the final hour
Now that you see what you've done
The cancelled check of life and its bitter taste of dung
In the factories
Amidst the rats and fleas
and on your bended knees you took it like a man!
What have you done?
the quantities were met and indirectly led to death
Teeming with ripe disease

I think this song is about how humans treat the earth and its inhabitants.
the quantities were met and indirectly led to death'
This could mean that after all that we've done to this earth we live in (global warming, pollution etc.) we've ignored the fact that if we continue the pollution, the earth and its inhabitants will meet their doom.
'In the factories Teeming with ripe disease and on your bended knees you took it like a man!Regret rears its despicable head All those years of ingesting the dead Living your life with your hands painted red'
This segment probably targets we who with all the vehicles we drive and all the dangerous stuff that is put into our air and thus polluting it. and in the last line of this segment, they're basically saying that all of us are guilty, even when we purposly didnt mean to continue destroying the earth.
'Gross remorse
In this the final hour Now that you see what you've done The cancelled check of life and its bitter taste of dung The stress of consciousness In distress and blessing yourself with death'
This part is teling us the remorse we'll eventually feel when our polluting comes back and bites us in the ass and that in the final hour we'll be able to see that this devastating doom that we'll soon face we created and that we'll all die because of it and frankly whenever you find out that something you've been doing your whole life will kill everybody on the earth. Basically the rest says that with this happening we'll recognize that we've dug our own grave and are now lying in it.
'Wolves use their cunning and stalk in the night We use machinery to exhibit destructive might They've only the skills adapt for taking their kill We hide behind the steel and are slaves to our will'
This compares the wolves and what they use to destroy to us humans and what we've been using to destroy the world, and how they only have skills to kill and how we're slaves to ourselves and our arrogant will.
'You, the consumer now consumed... ...and by your product your insides eaten! Quite ironic, don't you think?
What have we done? We've let the foolish taint the air and land!
Of all the things we've learned from ripping off this earth Plastic and mass created sewer spewing humanure'
This says that we (the consumers)will be killed by what we've caused/created. They ask us what we've done by letting the foolish taint our world. They again bring up our destruction of the earth by pollution will kill us.
'Gross remorse
In this the final hour Now that we see what we've done The cancelled check of life and its bitter taste of dung The stress of consciousness Death obsessed and making a mess'
They repeat our remorse and what we'll feel whenever the end comes and we realize its because of us and our seemingly purposful pollution makes us look "death obsessed".
'You, the consumer now consumed... ...and by your product you will wither away!
And I don't remember us starving to death... ...and I can't recall suffering through it all They've shown me some things that I'll never forget ...and I'll remind you when you're on your death bed This is the grave, this is regret.'
They again show that we (the consumer) will be killed by our own creation. They tell us that they don't remember us dying by starvation and the suffering because of it. ( basically asking us " Why did we have to be so gluttonous with our ways" ). They show that some people have come to their senses about what we're doing and that that'll haunt them forever and that when mankinds doom comes because of it, they'll again reming us that " We've cause our deaths, and that this is our regret ".
'LOOK AT THIS HELL! LOOK WHAT YOU'VE DONE!
In this the final hour Now that you see what you've done The cancelled check of life and its bitter taste of dung In the factories Amidst the rats and fleas and on your bended knees you took it like a man!'
It sort of "fastforwards" back into the future at our doom and us asking ourselves "WHat have we done" and that in that final our we will see what we've caused and our remorse of our mistakes.
