Odd One Lyrics
Odd one, you're never alone
I'm here and I will reflect you
both of us basically
unattached to anything or anyone unless we're pretending
you live your life in your head
some call it imagination
I'd rather focus instead on anything except
what I'm feeling
what I'm feeling
odd one...
(chorus)
Hey, it's gonna be ok
hey, we're gonna laugh at this one day
Odd one, I wish I was you
you're never concerned with acceptance
we are all desperately seeking out, and fitting with anyone
who will accept us
but not you, odd one
(chorus - breakdown)
Hey, it's gonna be ok
Hey, gonna laugh at this one day
(outro)
Don't let someone
tell you you're no-one
don't let someone tell you you're no-one
Odd one...

i think it's about someone who is there own self. they don't cave to peer pressure and have their own identity and hasn't conformed. Basically about anyone of those 'odd one' people that they need to be themselves, and don't let anyone get them down and that they are no-one. great song, awesome band.
Basically what vestrisator said,
Basically what vestrisator said,
The song is about someone who is different; the odd one does not conform and acts like oneself all the time. The odd one also, for some reason, does not care much about the world or the people whom live in it.

My guess is because the odd one is smarter than the rest and cannot really connect to them, possibly compounded with other reasons; the odd one realizes that his/her imagination provides him/her with a much better experience than real life and sticks to it instead of other people.

I think this song is about the artist saying words of comfort, appreciation, and encouragement to the "odd one." The artist is very different from the odd one but largely understands them.
Odd one, you're never alone I'm here and I will reflect you both of us basically unattached to anything or anyone unless we're pretending
(The odd one may be feeling lonely but he's saying that he's there acknowledging (reflecting) them in this song. He then goes on to imagine how they'd be free together).
you live your life in your head some call it imagination I'd rather focus instead on anything except what I'm feeling
(The odd one lives a more introverted life. The singer differentiates himself as someone trying to escape his own issues, probably the reason why he's noticed the odd one).
Hey, it's gonna be ok hey, we're gonna laugh at this one day
(He's saying that both he and the odd one will turn out alright in the end).
Odd one, I wish I was you you're never concerned with acceptance we are all desperately seeking out, and fitting with anyone who will accept us but not you, odd one
(The artist has seen a lot a crap which he blames on trying to find social acceptance. That's why he likes the odd one who isn't as concerned).
Don't let someone tell you you're no-one don't let someone tell you you're no-one Odd one...
(The artist implies again that the odd one isn't invincible or invulnerable when he gives them this encouragement).
The chorus and the outro imply that they're around the same age, they're both old enough to have seen a lot of crap in life, but they're still young enough that his words of wisdom can make a difference.
this is wat I get for skimming. you summed it up perfectlyyy!!! :D

I think this song is about that one person that sits in the corner nobody talks to .. that one person that just looks "wierd" and anti-social. The "Odd One" that probably gets picked on for being different. The artist is admiring this persons differences, but recognizing that they are both very much equal. The artist fits in with the crowd by doing what everybody else is doing.. he covers up his insecurities by blending in, but he admires the "odd one" for not covering up insecurities, and not trying to fit in and is just being themselves.
i love this song cause it's play with heart amd at want it take to make great song.
this song is about just being yourself and not being into the cool crowd
Definetly about a guy who isnt concerned with what the rest of the world thinks of him and his actions all throughout his life. i.e. a guy who puts ranch dressing on his ... pizza?
alright 1; I fucking love this song. 2; this is my and my bfs song. XD
anyways; this song is about being yourself. That was quite straight forward. but I feel that (and also from what my bf explained to me) this song is about a girl who is hated because she's herself. and the guy is loved by everyone for whatever reason. And he has an interest with the chika for being herself and they end up together or something. Totally not in a lovey dovey full explanation mood; so you get the here's how shit went down description. XD
also; it could be seen for transcendentalism. my english teacher would be so proud of me right now -.-
This song to me means that you're your own self because you are not into all of the groups that formed around you. He is trying to comfort the 'odd one' and he loves her for who she is. ♥
This song sounds to me like Shimon, the lead singer, is songing to Emma, seeing as they "grew up together".
This is, by far, my new favorite band. The lyrics are deep and introspective and speak to me. And Shimon doesn't hide behind any veils. Good for him finally speaking his mind/heart. I sincerely envy him, and maybe Emma too.
The bass and drums are sweetly strong and very complimentary. My only fear is that they forget what brought them to this point, like most new bands.
THAT MAKES SO MUCH MORE SENSE! And when you watch the music video for all the same, even though it's another girl in the video when they are playing and singing I kept wondering why she was looking at him with googly-type eyes and in the end when she smashes her guitar.

This song always reminds me of myself and my ex, and good friend, (who introduced me to this band.) The "odd one" who always lives life in her head, and how he always ignores what he's feeling.
