Meridian Lyrics
The people who survive the sword will find favor in the desert.
I will build you up again and you will be rebuilt.
I am the painter making this mess a masterpiece.
I will rebuild you up again.
I will build you up again and you will be rebuilt.
I am the painter making this mess a masterpiece.
I will rebuild you up again.

The people who survive the sword will find favor in the desert (Jeremiah 31:2) I will build you up again, you will be rebuilt (Jeremiah 31:4)
probably the best song on the album instrumentally besides crusades
such a sickkkkkkkkk song.
thats all they have to say this song makes me just love god haha one of the BEST songs i've ever heard with only four lines :]
This song is fucking amazing. It's epic instrumental melody and it's breakdown - just amazing. I believe this song is about taking refuge from a chaotic event and being rebuilt again. Like a chaotic event in ones life, there is hope to rebuild and become someone new again. Idk I'm not much into religion, my take may be different.
''The people who survive the sword will find favor in the desert.'' God is explaining that if u survive satan's temptations, then u will find peace in life. ''I will build you up again and you will be rebuilt.'' God then says he will then rebuild u, and make u into a new person. ''I am the painter making this mess a masterpiece.'' He is the maker of all things, and he sent jesus to die for our sins, thus making this mess a masterpiece. ''I will rebuild you up again.'' God will make u a new person.

think about this song in the context of the old testament: isreal was distroyed all of those times because she constantly broke Gods covenant. God always rebuilt her though, no matter what happened. he resorted them, just as he restores us, redeems us, forgives us. the reason this song is so cool is because it takes all this metaphorical buisness and puts it to the raddest, heavyist, chill inducing song ABR style
